I smell something fishy about this topic...

Either way, you can look up the New World Translation at:

Hosea 13 | Online Bible | New World Translation

It says: "But I am Jehovah your God from* the land of Egypt; +
You knew no God except me,
And besides me there is no savior."

I think it should read more like -

But I am YHVH, your Elohiym, which-from out of the land of Egypt (zulah) saved; and other Elohiym saved thee not; to show there is no Savior except Me.

Sorry, I must live in a different time zone!

If the text actually says the same as my Bible (KJV) then what do JWs make of verses such as Luke 2:11, 'For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.'?

Hosea 13:4
NWT
4 But I am Jehovah your God from the land of Egypt; You knew no God except me, And besides me there is no savior.

KJV:
4 Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.

Luke 2:11
For today there was born to you in David’s city a savior, who is Christ the Lord.

May i ask if you are wondering if Jesus is the same savior as mentioned in Hosea?

But only in certain books? Or in all the books?

I can't tell because they keep changing the translations.

i think the tetragrammaton is found in every book of the hebrew scriptures.

In our english translations, when you come across 'LORD' or 'GOD' in capitals, that is where the tetragrammaton is found in the hebrew scriptures.

Always? Are you sure it isn't from the other names i.e. Elohim etc?

Clearly, there can be only one true Saviour.
How do JWs explain this?

Yes, there is only one true savior and one true God.

The means by which he saves mankind has always been foretold to come through a 'seed' of Abraham. That one is the Messiah.

The Messiah is a savior who has been orchestrated by God himself. Jesus did say

John 7:28 Then as he was teaching in the temple, Jesus called out: “You know me and you know where I am from. And I have not come of my own initiative, but the One who sent me is real, and you do not know him. 29 I know him, because I am a representative from him, and that One sent me.”

So Jesus is only a savoir because God commissioned him to be so....just as he commissioned Moses to act as a savior to the enslaved Isrealites.
