Study: Everyone hates environmentalists and feminists

A lot of folks didn't like abolitionists either. The country was made better through the abolition of slavery, though. Feminism and environmentalism are just as flawed as any mass movement, but in the end, they are likely to win out.

I'd wager that a better study would show that anti-fur activists & radical vegetarians are the most hated.
Personally, I most hate those who'd stop us from carnivorating.
(Yes, that's a real word.)

Oh, an even better study would be one into the extent in which all the world's hatred is even grounded in reason. I wonder if it's an even 50/50. That might be optimistic for the side of legitimate hatred!

We're not unfriendly. We've simply thought things through, and we're unapologetically critical of socially or environmentally destructive paradigms.
As to your activism, I have to say I am not built with that inclination, nor though am I for capitalism or any particular politics in general. I would say I am for fast forward evolution, and the stars always beckon, and beyond that, that which no human mind can ever imagine.

Still friendly? ;)

Grounded in reason? I think you're asking too much of people.

I think it's more that people just dislike sanctimony and hypocrisy; two things endemic to most isms.

Really? I always thought they loved it. You know, implicitly. You can't tell me all the world's notions don't make for great theater. :D

Yeah, but except for the costumes, it's always the same act, and it gets old quick.

If they were reasonable, they probably wouldn't be angry in the first place.

Ha. Well, there is reasonable anger, I would imagine. I don't necessarily see anger against, like, an aggressor to be unreasonable, per se, though unreasonable stuff might likely happen later.

I don't know. It's really hard to imagine getting angry. There are other emotions that plague with their unreasonable intentions.

Then you got to take time to sit down and think about those emotions so that the feeling isn't too visceral to cloud one's vision. Even worse, then you have to sit there and question if your original interpretation of your emotions are actually a product of reason or emotion.

Nowadays, I only get angry with intent....it's not just a whim.
So I get angry less often, & I do a better job of it.
Btw, I'm an "environmentalist". Whooda thunk it?

Sure. Why not? People believe all kinds of crazy stuff.

I think when we believe in something so strong and make it into a dogma and try to force it onto others, is when we can be hatted, and sometimes you can't blame people for doing so.

Some people can easily inspire hatred.....

...what does that even mean?
Hi Riverwolf, 'fast forward' evolution means 'accelerated' evolution.

You are familiar with the chakras, kundalini awakening, reincarnation, etc., yes? Well there is the gradual path to the next kingdom of cosmic existence, and there is the fast track involving yoga / meditation....my life is devoted to finishing this human phase as soon as possible. There is no claim that this life is definitely the last, just that the attempt is being made.

Oh, that kind of evolution. I thought you meant biological evolution (which has no direction).

Carry on, then.

Feminism inspires hatred because it's a movement based on hatred and modeled around demonizing men. It's no different than asking why people are so reluctant to support racial superiority. Young women have even disassociated from the term because of its association with lunatic misandrists.
