1. Astronomy: First we deal with Astronomy. The Bible speaks about the creation of the universe. In the beginning, 1st Book, Book of Genesis, 1st Ch., it is mentioned - It says… ‘Almighty God created the Heavens and the Earth, in six days and talks about a evening and a morning, referring to a 24 - hour day. Today scientists tell us, that the universe cannot be created in a 24 hour period of six days.

if your going to argue the Quran also says six days : "Your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then settled Himself firmly on the Throne... (Qur'an, 7:54)

the word used is "ayyamin" meaning (long) periods and NOT 24 hour days like the Bible has it mentioned..

Gen 1:14-18 claims that God made the sun on the 4th "day". How can there be three "days" before the sun even exists?
Gen 1:11;12 claims that plant life was created before the sun. How can there be plants without any sun?

these are just a very few of the errors.. there are many more

and if ur going to say that the Bible is not a science book? well dont you think it should be consistant with science because its GODS words? or given by God?

God and science have never got along very well. I would'nt take those days to heart for the NT says one day is like a thousand years to the Lord. If I am to believe in God which I do, that He created the universe, black holes, super novas, dark matter, us and what not, I gotta believe He could do a book.

INSPIRED by God, but through the personalities and knowledge of the MEN who wrote them.

Besides, the Bible's mythological tales are not to be taken literally, but metaphorically.

And in this corner, we have... attacking the Bible's scientific accuracy! Of course the Bible is quite known for having plenty of inaccuracies regarding science, so that seems quite the formidable opponent.

But in this corner, we have... defending the Bible by appealing to metaphor! A lot of people argue that the Bible is meant to be taken metaphorically rather than literally, especially in regards to the more fantastic of stories. Quite a strong opponent, though certainly not without its own problems.

Well, many books, technically. The Bible is more of a collection of Jewish and early Christian writings than a single work.

This is true, many letters, and He put it together in a way that with the right heart a person is able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Historically, the canon was, well, canonized by men, and there are many canons.

The Catholic Bible and the Protestant Bible are the most well-known differences, but there's also the Ethiopian Bible, which contains the Book of Enoch and a few others.

Which would you say is His?

To my knowledge their's no difference except for the addition of letters, well I do not have a ethiopian Bible so really can't say, The four gospels are all the same to my knowledge, as is most of the other letters Such as hebrews, james, thru revelations. The 27 letters.

There are mistakes int he Qur'an about science and it does not take much for me to say that the Qur'an dictates the earth flatness and roundness at the same time.

Holy Books are works of divine inspiration, not divine commandment.
