Liberal Christian prayers

I am wondering how a liberal Christian prays. I now consider myself liberal and am not sure that God answers specific prayers. So would prayers generally be only praise if you're not presenting requests to be answered?

Prayers of thanksgiving would also be appropriate.

I believe God always answers prayer but not not often in the way we expect or maybe hope for.

Most modern Anglican prayers are more about bringing something to God's attention than "putting in a request" knowing that the result will be what "God Desires" not necessarily what we ourselves want.

It should be remembered that the Holy spirit will always comfort and guide as, we only need to let him.
Prayer is communication with God, it is two way if you open up to him, but he always knows our needs, and accepts our thanks, even if we think we are poor communicators.

We are all sinners and God knows our hearts. He always responds to our repentance with forgiveness.
Our worship is in love of God, not for what we hope to receive.
