I'm really surprised that Carter is in the running. His admin was rather lackluster, with a grinding
economic malaise & a horrible gasoline rationing scheme. But he was likeable & didn't start any wars.

He, like many, also mispronounced "nuclear".

Jimmy Carter was the best man to become president, but he was not the best president. He was honorable but not a savvy politician - unlike Lincoln, who was both.

I would go so far as to say that we all pretty much live in the shadows of FDR. There's really no comparison.

Johnson gets a bad rap for his continual involvement in Vietnam, but his persona is what pushed through many civil rights bills. He had always wanted to be a peace-time president and civil reformer.

That's a really good point. Perhaps one I should have thought about more before voting. I tried not to get weight to people for having their circumstances just by virtue of being where they were, and tried to stick how people dealt with what they were handled. But I think I might agree with your statement about Carter.

I'd say the high rankings of Reagan and Carter reflect peoples' ignorance of history. They remember Reagan and Carter so they vote for them. Taft sucks, but I'm surprised Woodrow Wilson hasn't gotten a few votes.

Eisenhower was a decently good man and a positive presidential figure.

JFK is overrated. He pretty much amounted to a Bill Clinton figure. During Vietnam and the civil rights protests people looked back fondly on his presidency just like how we look back at the Clinton presidency fondly after dealing with the Global Recession and Iraq/Afghanistan.

I like Teddy, besides his propensity to kill Native Americas. Besides that, I really don't know enough about him to even criticize him. I respect greatly anyone who takes on corporations though.
