Christians in the military

So then why the refusal to answer this:
But god certainly forced others to kill for him. Like a military.
I already did, you just dont like the answer I gave you. I cannot help you.

BTW, I dont know if God ordered to destroy any country. But I know what Jesus teaches.

I am Jesus' follower and servant of Him. I dont follow Judaism. I already told you that tons of times too.

You did not answer anything. Unless you believe that there are two different gods, one for the OT and one for the NT? I'm not talking about any laws like Judaism or the laws of a man named Jesus. I'm talking about the actions of the source: God. You claim "true" christians are not supposed to join the military, and I asked how do you feel about your GOD using the services of a military to do his killings?

But Jesus was a Jew and a Rabi. Jesus followed Judaism and you follow him. Paul made the case for your position about not following the law not Jesus.

We are commanded to not Murder. There is a difference between killing and murdering.

OT says eye for eye, meaning strike back if you get attacked. But Jesus says to "love your enemy". Jesus changed many OT practice.

We are commanded to not Murder. There is a difference between killing and murdering.

Jesus does not say it is ok to kill anyone even for self-defense.
Please read the OP.

Jesus does not say it is not okay to kill anyone for self defense.

Peter does not say it is okay to avoid people's questions about your faith.

Jesus does not say it is okay to start your day without doing the hokey pokey.

Please read the OP.

I have read the OP.

Please quote the Bible and give me the verse to back this claim.

I am protesting against Christians practicing the military because they are misrepresenting Jesus with this practice. Jesus is not for the war. Jesus is called prince of peace.

Save that Jesus said: "Think not that I am come to bring peace. I bring a sword."
--Matthew 10:34

You doubtless stlil have an argument against militarism, but I'm afraid you can't use the claim above to justify it.

I have to ask Meshak, do you believe Jesus is the son of God?

Are you reading my posts, friend?

I have been pushing to be obedient to Jesus to the churches. Why do you think I do that If I dont trust His word?

Jesus is my Lord and my Savior. I trust everything that He says in His word. He says He is Son of of God. Of course I trust He is Son of God. He says it tons of times in His word, dear.

You are twisting Jesus' word, friend. What Jesus meant is the world is fight about Jesus. Take a look at this forum; people are fighting over Him.

It is strange that you guys skip that the Bible says He is prince of peace. goodness, talk about picking to justify wrongful practice.

People are debating interpretations of a religious doctrine. I don't see anybody "fighting over Him", as if he were a prize to be won.

they are not fighting for Him but against Him mostly.

Nah, I've always said that if Jesus were to show up to my doorstep, I'd invite him in and offer him some tea.

And if God the Father got really angry that I didn't accept him as my lord and savior, I'd give that God one of my trademark Big Squishy Hugs....looks like he'd need it. ;)

I think what you're seeing as people "fighting against Him" is just people disagreeing with you. The problem is, I think, you have great difficulty identifying yourself as a person with her own mind, with her own interpretations and her own applications of meanings and her own sensory experiences, and that you literally speak for Jesus himself.

what a big steaming pile of bull ****.
No one in this thread is fighting against Jesus.
They are rightfully and correctly showing that you are flat out wrong when you claim that Jesus said something that he never actually said.

You are the one putting your own words into Jesus' mouth, not those who are point that fact out.

We are the ones skipping over parts of the bible??? You have yet to even address this one verse I brought up about god actually using the services of a military.

Not to mention how you flat out ignored the verses Mestemia brought up.
You seem to have ignored a few verses:
Matthew 8:5-13
Matthew 8:5
Matthew 27:54
Mark 15:39-45
Luke 7:2
Luke 23:47
Acts 10:1
Acts 21:32
Acts 28:16
Interesting how you ignore the "Armor of God" reading of Ephesians 6:10-20...
not to mention Paul's "fellow soldier" Epaphroditus in Philippians 2:25...

Seems to me your little rant is nothing more than a cherry picking in an attempt to justify your bias.
You skip over these parts of the bible because they contradict your agenda in the OP.

Jesus was not speaking of the literal sword or the bloody wars of men. The context shows he was speaking of the divisions within households that would result from the attitudes of family members who would reject the good news of God and persecute family members who accepted it. Matthew 10:35-38
The parallel account in Luke 12:51,52 reads: "Do you imagine I came to give peace on the earth? No, indeed, I tell you, but rather division. For from now on there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three."
