i've eaten dried emperor moth grubs. Yuk!
I once ate (yes, ate... it was pretty lumpy) a shot of "wine" a friend of mine and I made from gummi bears.
I once brushed my teeth (very briefly) with foot fungus cream.

I don't think this beats anything here, but squirrel and turtle are probably the strangest things I've had. Some people think sushi is pretty gross too, so that might count.
Raw salmon eggs are among the tastiest things I've ever eaten.
You can even see the little fish fetus in the translucent shell.....yum!

Before I became vegetarian, I disliked a lot of meat products that various members of my family eat, and have eaten: tripe, chicken feet, pork's blood, goat mixed with alcohol (my dad's invention?), duck egg foetus (with the foetal juices swimming in there)...

Locusts in honey, I got a live batch and prepared them fresh in my kitchen. All in all it was pretty good, fried nicely with butter.
Cow brain, very tender and quite tasty. It's a traditional dish in the Moroccan side of my family.
Snails, at my wife's parents' in France. I thought it was incredible, it was cooked with garlic and herbs.
Turkey testicles, often on our local BBQ menus, but not often eaten. Not bad actually.
Beef and horse tongues.
I'm sure there are other things I'm forgetting, or that I simply don't consider strange enough to list.

I just want to know how the tarantula was prepared, whether it was recognizable as a tarantula when you ate it and how it tasted. I honestly believe I would choose to starve before eating a taranula. Zebra and crocodile might be unusual, but don't sound particularly unappetizing. Tarantula, on the other hand...

Once I was taken a nap on the sofa. I woke up to my pet rat putting his whole head in my mouth. I did not eat him. But I know what live rat tastes like.
