I keep hearing this quote from it about LaVey saying he could only say so much publicly... people using it to say that he really believed in Satan. Mostly this is used by xtians saying that Satanists kill stuff and are killers and lairs and such.

I wiki'd the work and apparently from the crappy article it says it was written by a member of the Church of Satan.. a priest.

Does anyone know anything about this work and the context of the quote?

Is the book, and it was written by a Church of Satan Priest. Considering that Church of Satan Priesthood really means nothing I am not sure how much weight that has. It is mostly about Satanic culture and wasn't focused on a deep analysis of anything. Regardless, people can pull quotes out of anything to make it support any particular view.
