On Female Genitals; For Christians

I do not know the work or anything about it.
The title does not sound promising, but I am sure it has a point.
It seems quite a large audience turned up to hear middle aged women priests recite it, so it must have a purpose, and perceived value.

What diocese are you from?

I've not heard the monologues, but the people I know who attended found it "non-Christian" to say the least

The Saddleworth Parishes are in the Manchester Diocese
I attend Christ Church Friezland.

Do they pull the same kinda of stunts in England? I know the Archbishop is into this kinda of stuff,

but is it as bad as the North American churches (Anglican church of Canada and Episcopalian church of USA)

As I don't know what the recital entailed,I don't know what sort of "stunt" it was.

I have never known the Arch bishop support anything very controversial.
The discussion about women Bishops is not over yet, nor is anything decided about gay clergy. such things are still very divisive, though I suspect inevitable.

There are Gay priests and bishops, there has always been.
There will be women bishops, the argument is overwhelming and already won, though not instituted.

The Anglican communion is made up of sovereign national churches... they do not all move at the same pace or even agree on everything.

It seems to me that there are "way out" people in all religious organisations. the Anglicans are no exception.
