I recently watched a documentary called the Daniel project that seemed to present the prophecies that are being fulfilled leading to the end times – it seems to be pretty accurate , i just wanted to know if anybody else agrees with me – or has anymore relevant information to add to this list.
Also if the are accurate then surely that gives the bible a lot of credibility.

1. The Jews will be exiled and persecuted throughout the world.
Deuteronomy 28:64 - 66 (fulfilled)

64 “And the Lord will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known. 65 And among these nations you shall find no respite, and there shall be no resting place for the sole of your foot, but the Lord will give you there a trembling heart and failing eyes and a languishing soul. 66 Your life shall hang in doubt before you. Night and day you shall be in dread and have no assurance of your life.

2. In the Last Days - the Jews would return to their Homeland
Ezekiel 37:21-22 (fulfilled)

and say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land. 22 I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms.

3. Jerusalem will be the center of world tensions
Zechariah 12:3 (fulfilled)

3And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it

5.The lost language of Hebrew will be restored to Israel
Zephaniah 3:9 (fulfilled)

9For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.

6. Pools of water will appear in the desert and the land will blossom with fruits and vineyards
Isaiah 41:18-19 (fulfilled)

18I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
19I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the ****tah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together

Joel 3:18 (fulfilled)

18 “In that day the mountains will drip new wine,
and the hills will flow with milk;
all the ravines of Judah will run with water.
A fountain will flow out of the LORD’s house
and will water the valley of acacias.[a]

5. Increase in the frequency and size of natural disasters
Mathew 24: 6- 5 (fulfilled)

6 You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

6. Lawlessness, Social/Moral Breakdown
2 Timothy 3 (fulfilled)

1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

7. Spiritual Deception and Apostasy Leading To A False Religious Leader
2 Thessalonians 2:9 (still to be fulfilled)

9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,

8.World Government , a forced finical system ,state control
Revelation 13:16-18 (still to be fulfilled)

16 He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17 so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
18 This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666.

9. Earthquake to spilt mount of Olives, water will flow from under Jerusalem
Zechariah 14:4 – 8 (still to be fulfilled)

On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. 5 You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake[a] in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.
6 On that day there will be no light, no cold or frost. 7 It will be a unique day, without daytime or night time—a day known to the LORD. When evening comes, there will be light.
8 On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half to the eastern sea and half to the western sea,[c] in summer and in winter.

Israel sits on the Syrian African rift and scientist already thing that’s were the next big earth quake will be...pls see below

10. Rebuilding of The Jewish Temple
Revelation 11:1-2 (still to be fulfilled)

1 I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers. 2 But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.

11.The east gate in the city will be sealed shut until the end
Ezekiel 44:1 – 3 (fulfilled)

1 Then the man brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary, the one facing east, and it was shut. 2 The LORD said to me, “This gate is to remain shut. It must not be opened; no one may enter through it. It is to remain shut because the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered through it. 3 The prince himself is the only one who may sit inside the gateway to eat in the presence of the LORD. He is to enter by way of the portico of the gateway and go out the same way.”

12.The kings of the east will cross the River Euphrates for war.
Revelations 9:14 – 16 (still to be fulfilled)

14 It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” 15 And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 The number of the mounted troops was two hundred million. I heard their number.

I've been reading a lot of this kind of thing for a number of years ... some of it since I was well prety young anyway..

Using Revelation 13:16-18 as a verse predicting world government as an example is to me rather ludicrous ..

Revelation 13:16-18 New International Version (NIV)

16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. 18 This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.[a] That number is 666.

I've seen the same verse referred to the European Common Market and Social Security system and bar codes. As far as imposed taxes in the middle east this practise has been imposed for sometime going back historically as the business tax (Kharaj) and head tax (jizya) of the Abbasid Caliphs. How many people have been associated with the number 666? Almost as many as six hundred? Well almost...

Not only that... the more ancient manuscripts of Revelation have 616 as opposed to 666 ..per the wikipedia:

Around 2005, a fragment from Papyrus 115, taken from the Oxyrhynchus site, was discovered at the Oxford University’s Ashmolean Museum. It gave the beast’s number as 616. This fragment happens to be the oldest manuscript (about 1,700 years old) of Revelation 13 to date.[12][13]

Hey. I'm happy to have a stab at answering this. First post! I will tackle these individually but let's talk about the general argument.

Firstly, no actual dates have been put against these prophecies, which is problematic in trying to estrblish credibility. Statistically, given time, any event is likely to occur that might apply to these statements.

Secondly, the people who are subject of these prophecies believe these things are their right - for instance the Jewish people have reoccupied the place they consider their homeland because of these verses, not regardless of them. If the Bible had only just been found, and no one except a handful of scholars had read it (and then found these things had come true), then this might be more credible.

Thirdly, this is just a small handful of verses and there are many more that don't seem relevant today. You even listed a few. Surely we have to negate these against the ones that do seem to be right? Otherwise the credibility is gained from cherry picking.

Forthly, take any half decent science fiction book from the start of the 20th century and you'll find plenty of things that seem to have come true. No one is claiming that a deity was involved. These are just clever people with an understanding of history, politics, society and a gift for a good yarn. This is tge nature of fiction - it has a truth without being factually true. I'm an atheist, but the bible is an important book with some beautiful passages and interesting concepts. Many of these things are not big news (Thou Shalt Not Kill - no suprises there) but the bible as a historical record is a fascinating work - just like the hiroglythphics of the Egyptians and Babylonian casts.

So let's look at these things objectively:

1. The Jews will be exiled and persecuted throughout the world.
Deuteronomy 28:64 - 66 (fulfilled)

The Jews were being exiled and persecuted when this book was written - so it's hardly a prophecy.

2. In the Last Days - the Jews would return to their Homeland
Ezekiel 37:21-22 (fulfilled)

Of course their holy book says they will be returned to their homeland - how many followers would there have been if the book had said - "You will be scattered and never return". Self fullfilling.

3. Jerusalem will be the center of world tensions
Zechariah 12:3 (fulfilled)

There are many tensions in the world, then and now. They are precisely because of land disputes. Again this is not a prophercy - it's news.

5.The lost language of Hebrew will be restored to Israel
Zephaniah 3:9 (fulfilled)

Self fulfilling

6. Pools of water will appear in the desert and the land will blossom with fruits and vineyards
Isaiah 41:18-19 (fulfilled)

Pools of water occur quite naturally in deserts all the time. Also there are manmade structures dating back thousands of years that channel water into oasis areas. Again - not a prophercy but news.

5. Increase in the frequency and size of natural disasters
Mathew 24: 6- 5 (fulfilled)

Disasters are not increasing in frequency or size. They have been happening for millions of years - we haven't seen anything yet! The dinosaurs were exterminated by a meteor crashing into the earth and plunging the world into a long ice age. When Indian "smashed" (over the course of millenia) into Asia thrusting up the Himaylas the entire world's weather system was altered (it's still smashing and Africa is smashing into Europe). We tend to think natural disasters occur more often but this is simply because we live in a telecommunications age plus we exist in a narrow time slot. Man made global warming might be considered an "increase" - but earthquakes are not affected by it. And again - wars have been around then and now. So this scripture is just news.

6. Lawlessness, Social/Moral Breakdown
2 Timothy 3 (fulfilled)

Well - aren't you getting on a bit - the youth of today. LOL I don't think there has been a moral breakdown at all. If anything, humans overall are more moral than ever. The Romans were not moral at all and viciously killed all the nations around them. The "dark ages" speak for themselves. Medieval Europe's fascination with torture and execution does not reflect a moral time. Slavery is not morally acceptable now, and yet a god fearing, christian nation flourished with the benefits of this free labour. The Victorians has work houses and child labour - neither which we would find acceptable today. The Mods and Rockers had everyone a lather, as did the Punks. Now everyone says that the "Grand Theft Auto" generation is morally bankrupt? I think this bank disolved a few thousand years ago. Society has always had problems - it's in our nature.

7. Spiritual Deception and Apostasy Leading To A False Religious Leader
2 Thessalonians 2:9

Not sure what this is, but (still to be fulfilled) So shouldn't be in this list. Right?

8.World Government , a forced finical system ,state control
Revelation 13:16-18

(still to be fulfilled) So shouldn't be in this list. Right?

9. Earthquake to spilt mount of Olives, water will flow from under Jerusalem
Zechariah 14:4 – 8

(still to be fulfilled) So shouldn't be in this list. Right?

Yes... it's a geologically active zone then and now. Not prophecy - news.

10. Rebuilding of The Jewish Temple
Revelation 11:1-2

(still to be fulfilled) So shouldn't be in this list. Right?

11.The east gate in the city will be sealed shut until the end
Ezekiel 44:1 – 3 (fulfilled)

Self fullfilling.

12.The kings of the east will cross the River Euphrates for war.
Revelations 9:14 – 16

(still to be fulfilled) So shouldn't be in this list. Right?

Look forward to what you think of my reply.

I just realized that 666 is 999 upside down...do you know what this means? Herman Cain is going to win the US presidential election! He's the beast spoken of in Revelation! Ahhh!!! It's true, all of it! If only I would have studied something useful like biblical prophecy and eschatology in college and used that to predict the future...but noooo...I had to rely on something useless like physics and mathatics for my knowledge of the future. ;)

Many other religions' prophecies have come true. Prophecy enough and some of the things will happen in the next 2-3000 years.

Fulfilled prophecies alone aren't enough to prove that the Bible is true.

Self fulfilling, vague, and subjectively validated "prophesies" make these claims as valid as those of Nostradamus and Jeane Dixon.

The prophecies of the End of the Age ("of the world" is a mistranslation) are fulfilled because this already came and went about a century and a half ago!

Peace, :)

Meh.......how many times has a believer in a poetic mythology presented interpretations which are bent to describe real events retrospectively?
Now, were they to get very specific about details & dates of predictions made in advance, then I'll sit up & take notice.

Sadiya, I can't see any point in watching a "debate" concerning the scientific integrity of the Koran and Bible, when neither have any.

So people predicting obvious things is your evidence? It is not hard to predict that people are going to hate the Jewish people, that there are going to be corrupt leaders, that there will be natural disasters, etc. It is like me predicting that the sun will rise every morning and that everyone will die, and then when it is still coming true in 100 years people start worshiping me.

I would recommend to all those who believe the bible to be the world of God to watch the video by the name of"Quran and Bible in the light of modern science".It is the video of the debate held btw dr Zakir Naik and Dr William Campbell in Chicago. It is Really an eyeopening debate. It changed my life drastically! The video is available on many sites including the following:
1)Islamic Research Foundation - Welcome to IRF
2)The Religion of Islam
3)The True Call
and many others.
Are you getting paid to spam forums with that debate?

I think there are archetypal cyclical patterns in time and in the collective unconscious. A visionary who taps into the collective unconscious can see the patterns playing out and where they will lead, but he sees them in symbolic, mythological forms. Such forms are like costumes for archetypes and they change from time to time and culture to culture.
