Does it Bother You?

Does it bother you when Jews and Christians use the names of Prophets and don't add (pbuh)?

In my everyday conversation with my Christian brothers I often use the names of various prophets and of course my Lord Jesus Christ, but I wonder if Muslims in ear shoot are offended by the way we speak

what happened with the Prophet peace be upon him and Amr bin Al As when they signed the peace treaty of Hudaybiya was that on the contract it was written Muhammed the Messenger of Allah. Amr at the time was not a Muslim and asked for Muhammed the Messenger of Allah to be changed to Muhammed the son of Abdullah arguing that if he accepted Muhammed peace be upon him as the Messenger of Allah then he would already be a Muslim. the companions who were present became very angry but the Prophet peace be upon him agreed to make the change.

Whether Christians and Jews say peace be upon them or not for the Prophets is up to them.

of course it doesn't bother me. i know we muslims have a sensitivity issue but even we have our limits :p islam advises us to mention any holy people with utmost respect, which is why we add PBUH. christians and jews are not obligated to follow the rules of religions that are not their own. i mean feel free to do so if you want to, but if you don't, thats ok, we can still be friends :D failing to add PBUH doesn't imply less respect towards prophets, we do not conclude that of christians or jews.

so no worries, keep doing your thang :)
