prescription or recreation?

Beat me to it :D

I don´t trust most recreational drugs.

I have no problem getting drunk (rarely, but without regrets when I do) or drinking coffee or taking pills when I am sick (actually, I kinda avoid those at least first days :D ) , but I don´t trust weed, heroin, etc.

I am aware that weed seems to not do harm from a scientific perspective so far, but I´ve heard that it can open up your chakras in an unhealthy way that can leave damages for several reincarnations.

I don´t know if that´s true, but I never felt curious about the experience of weed and don´t trust it anyways, so I just stay away from it.

Jehovah our God is One
Recreational.

the use of recreational drugs are prohibited by Jehovah’s law. Jesus refused to take a drug common in the first century, and we imitate his example in all things including taking drugs which alter the mind.
Mark 15:22 So they brought him (Jesus) to the place Gol′go‧tha, which means, when translated, Skull Place. 23 Here they tried to give him wine drugged with myrrh, but he would not take it

We know that drugs harm the body and often kill the users. We must respect our bodies and view life as sacred in order to serve God acceptably
2 Corinthians 7:1 Therefore, since we have these promises, beloved ones, let us cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in God’s fear

Romans 12:1 Consequently I entreat YOU by the compassions of God, brothers, to present YOUR bodies a sacrifice living, holy, acceptable to God, a sacred service with YOUR power of reason.

Ephesians 5:17 On this account cease becoming unreasonable, but go on perceiving what the will of Jehovah is. 18 Also, do not be getting drunk with wine, in which there is debauchery,

My beliefs say nothing about them. You can take them if you want

drugs? Recreational.

Judaism technically says nothing about drugs. When such things were addressed in Jewish Law, the Rabbis basically class such substances under the same rules as wine or liquor: permissible for use in moderation, but one should avoid excess.

Some recreational drugs would be prohibited to us because of the grave health danger that they pose. We are forbidden to unnecessarily endanger our own lives or bring harm to ourselves without good reason.

And even for those drugs not a grave health danger, most recreational drugs are illegal in America and other Western countries these days; and Jews are discouraged from their use by the principle in Jewish Law dina d'malchuta dina he, which is to say, "The [secular] law of the land is binding" (meaning that unless a secular law would obligate a Jew to violate Torah law, the secular law must be followed and respected, since we believe that God values civil societies). Nonetheless, illegal casual drug use is not particularly high on the list of our social concerns. Such a thing is not considered "sinful," just midly transgressive.

Where such things are legal, Jews are more or less unilaterally permitted to use drugs that do not pose a grave health risk, though they are encouraged to moderation, and one may not pray or study Torah while under the influence.

Briefly, the Baha'i Faith prohibits recreational drugs.

As to medical care, it advises consulting with physicians as needed and following their advice.

Peace, :)

My religion says they are bad for spiritual development. Puts you in the mode of ignorance. May also cause disease, physical damage or even death. Better to stay away from it.

My beliefs make up who I am but my beliefs do not define me. Its how I came to those beliefs that would define who I am.

Recreational.
What Madhuri said.

I'm strongly opposed to recreational narcotics that causes people to become less aware.

I don't drink, smoke, or take any recreational drugs (except tea; even then I usually have decaf or other types, such as rooibos). I find the very use alien and, when offered such things I will decline. When people try to encourage me to drink alcohol, all they succeed in is ******* me off and making me feel disgusted.

Mine isn't a nanny religion, you're free to make your own choices and your own mistakes.
My personal opinion is that recreational drugs (with the possible exception of marijuana, but I'm no expert) are better off avoided.

^ All of this, except I drink coffee, moderately.

Though I think there are some minority Shaiva sects that offer cannabis in their worship.

What does say Zoroastrianism about drugs?:
"8. All other toxicants go hand in hand with Rapine of the bloody spear,
but Haoma's stirring power goes hand in hand with friendship.[...]" Yasna 10:8.
So it is advised not to take drugs ("recreational" ones) except Haoma (in Vedic "Soma").[/quote]But that's interpretation, because, indeed, the prohibition is not clearly expressed. It only criticizes "toxicants", without saying "thou shalt not take toxicants". Every Zoroastrian should clearly think by himself, and use wisdom. A Zoroastrian conclusion is: Zoroastrianism always asks us to be cautious with what can lead us to bad excesses, so we better avoid those things which, once we have done them once (drugs), enforce us to do them another time, and still another, and then become such as this: :sorry1: and then: .
An other point: all drugs which use fire to be lit, and then used, are strictly, strongly, for ever, everywhere, under all conditions forbidden. All drugs which harm the body and/or the conscience I must precise. Because it desecrates the fire to use it to harm somebody, be it ourselves.

I cannot say I have a defined set of rules or beliefs since I am really young. Actually I am only 21 years of age. Lets get this on the roll. I have and will continue to use Marijuana. It is fun and really makes me think. I will say however that I would never use hard drugs such as the more damaging kind. Since I am on depression medication however I cannot and will not drink alcohol again. It really messes up my stomach and I will feel like I am near death in a matter of minutes of drinking this awful concoction. On prescriptions well. I do not like how they affect me. I feel as if man made medication is far worse than say. Marijuana or Salvia Divinorium. Or however you spell that psychedelic drug.

In short I like natural drugs but only in moderation. I despise man made drugs. They are never good for you.

If something is natural what is the problem? People tend to be into heroin, coke, prescription pills, or even LSD. I never saw the meaning in a high manufactured by the world you are trying to escape / ignore / change your perception of. Natural drugs such as DMT and peyote have been used by shamans and in spiritual rituals for ages. I don't know about you, but I would not call out a shaman as a trippin idiot. They seem to be onto something.

I don't really adhere to a religion but even in Buddhism they say be of right mind right action etc. Recreational drugs could hurt this but I kinda wonder about things like thc. Right mind is a subjective term.
