Did Jesus say he was God???

you seem to over look that i took time to answer your questions too...
Nope.
They were your questions from the first place.
The questions I asked were to help you understand the answers, which I believe you did ultimately.
Anyway, you're the one who insulted my in the end of the discussion.

not really.
OP:

"Did Jesus say he was God??? "

Don't get too caught up into Muffled's rhetoric. What he attempted to do was troll out a whole bunch of biblical verses with no reasoning behind why he did it. Then when read in context the chapters that these come from refute him every single time. Not only is none of what he produced "proof" but it wasn't even "overwhelming" as he claims. If it were then this thread would have ended long ago but as you can see, and you are just one of many newbies to the forum and this thread, this particular thread had been active for 4 and a half years.

You've been defeated too many times to say this.

And yet you are no closer than Muffled was in producing anything in the 4 gospels where (Yeshua said) he was Alaha (God). You've already shown that using Luke 2:11 to assert that Yeshua is (Lord Jehovah) was a baseless claim considering Luke 2:22 says they took (him) Yeshua to be presented to (Lord Jehovah)...A conundrum your translator didn't notice when he was haphazardly placing (Lord Jehovah) everywhere he saw the word (marya)...without confronting the context or the culture of the Jews at the time.

If you don't want to believe that or if you don't want to believe in the bible, it's your choice.
No one asks you to believe otherwise.
But don't try to tell me what the bible says.

This means very little considering there are millions of Christians that believe in the bible but don't believe Yeshua is "God".......

I proved it many times here.
You were defeated too many times already.

Wishful thinking is all. Keep repeating yourself and you'll begin to believe it.

Stick to OP.

He, just like you, is incorrect..and it's been shown already. The content of the first post of the OP is useless without context. One can and has been able to make the bible say what they want it to say if they take what is said out of context.

useless + offtopic

Then don't make such an erroneous statement. Stop changing the subject.

"But once you doubt its authenticity, I don't think such discussion is any good.
From the Bible, it has been proven many times that Jesus is God.
If you don't want to believe that or if you don't want to believe in the bible, it's your choice
."

None of it has to do with this thread...thus you were changing the subject and off topic. I'm sure you won't admit you were though....

Wishful thinking ...
lol
All you could do was either to give some lies, change subject, doubt the credibility of Jesus or the authenticity of the bible.
All self-defeating.

Then don't make such an erroneous statement.
Again your opinion about my statement is worthless.
It wasn't addressed to you but it does apply to you.
You both were trying to stick to the bible in discussion.
Once you got defeated, you just said "it's not authentic". <-- ultimate proof of defeat. :D

why does jesus ask himself why he betrayed himself?

maybe because jesus isn't god. otherwise, he'd know the answer to his own question.

john 17:2
For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.

how do you grant yourself anything if everything is yours?
and why speak about yourself in 3rd person

john 17:3
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

duh, doesn't god already know that?

john 17:4
I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

come to think of it, that one was never reconciled

he brought god glory by spreading gods message...isn't that giving himself the glory too

6 “I have revealed you[a] to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.

weird....
'i have revealed myself to those whom you gave me out of this world' would have been a better choice in order to fit the argument jesus said he was god...
but alas jesus doesn't say that...ooops

:biglaugh: Here we go with this again...Sorry but no lies were given...unless you're changing the definition of the word.

change subject

Please check the mirror. You've done it a few time in a couple threads here at RF.

doubt the authenticity of Jesus

No I haven't and I've already proven I didn't.

or the bible.

No I haven't and I've proven that as well.

Again your opinion about my statement is useless.

And that's "your opinion" of my opinion....

It wasn't addressed to you but it does apply to you.

I do recall addressing some one else and you responded to what I said to that person. But so you know....this is a debate thread so you're just going to have to get use to it.

You both were trying to stick to the bible in discussion.

When it comes to the 4 gospels and as to what Yeshua said or didn't say....uhhh, yeahh!

Once you got defeated, you just said "it's not authentic". <-- ultimate proof of defeat. :D

Shows how little you know about your scriptures then. It's without a doubt that there are plenty of verses in your scripture that were obviously added on purpose to promote a certain theological presumption. On the other hand there are some not so obvious and "may not" have been done on purpose..mistranslations in your scripture. If the authenticity of your scriptures have been called into question by me or others here it was for good reason and probably that a consensus of scholarship agreed said verse(s) weren't authentic (example: 1John 5:7-8).

Again your opinion about my statement is worthless.

what a terribly audacious thing to say... really?
**sigh**
and of course your opinion is the one that matters even though you continually back up your claims with nothing more than other claims

Even so it would still sound a little weird considering he was praying....

And this is exactly what I was saying about Luke 2:11 and 2:22....The idea of Jews who were deeply rooted in Jewish tradition to take the newly born Lord Jehovah up to be presented to the Lord Jehovah makes no sense......It doesn't make sense to a Jew in this day and time. His challenge was to find one Jew on this forum that agreed with such a translation or the notion thereof and I would concede. So far nothing.

:biglaugh:

which is obviously all you've got left.
Laugh at your own defeat.
I've already proved and quoted your posts with lies, doubting Jesus' credibility and the bible's authenticity.
All self defeating.

But as I said before, given the number of lies you gave and the embarrassment you repeatedly caused yourself, I don't expect the decency of admitting lies or apologizing for them.
Your opinion is as worthless as the lies you've been giving.

You failed badly again.

But thanks for the fun.
Your giving references that disproved yourself was hilarious.
