A friend from Texas sent me this today along with her apologies and warning that Perry would be worse than Bush:

What do you make of Rick Perry? Good for the country?

Sunstone, shame on you. You give me hell every time I quote the Heritage foundation and then you post this equally biased crap.

I'm not going to watch the video.

But as long as it demonizes Perry, I'm for it. He is doing more damage to Texas than is hardly imaginable.

He eats babies and poops living rocks.

I don't believe I have ever met a Democrat from Texas in real life.

Off hand..... LBJ was from Texas back when Democrats where not commies. :D

There's a tombstone in Austin that says something like:

He never liked Republicans
and had little to to with them

The guy was a Texas state senator.

You know I was puzzled to learn Obama quotes Reagan and considers him to be one of his "heroes" I think I understand why now, he doesn't want to be the next Carter (and really when you consider the **** Reagan pulled and got kudos for from the public, what politician, democrat or republican wouldn't admire him?)

Sadly I think Reagan II is where we are headed with this Rick Perry guy and we are really going back into the toilet bowl soon, probably for good this time. Oligarchy here we come. I have no doubt the conservatives will bring jobs, you will just have to keep 3 or 4 of them to support yourself with no benefits or protections if you aren't part of the corporate machinery.

Weep for my country, etc. Shouldn't be surprised but still am.

Cool.

You know if you and I where to hammer out the problems our country faces, even though we are as far apart as politics allow, I believe our mutual respect for one another would find a workable solution that neither of us would like but would make our country a better place to live.

I have to admit, Rick Perry does remind me of GWB. The thing is, I believe GWB will go down in history as a great President so I like the resemblance just as much as most of you hate it.

Let's just take a **** flinging chimp, put a bible in one paw, a flag in the other, and set him loose in the White House. We'll have to line the floors with pages from the constitution, bill of rights, declaration of independence and other historical documents as not to ruin the carpet.

It may sound like a horrible idea, but I'm sure history will vindicate it.

It's easy to find fault with any candidate, but does anyone really believe we are going to find this perfect president who everyone loves?

I don't know enough about Rick Perry to have a real opinion of him.

Ron Paul has been consistent and time has vindicated many things he has said. The thing is, there is a fine line between genius and insanity and I believe Ron Paul is a kook.

Obama has failed miserably and we cannot afford to wait four more years for this "Change?" he has promised that never happened.

Michelle Bachman is unelectable in my opinion.

Herman Cain makes alot of sense, but I don't see him gaining any traction.

Mitt Romney is qualified to lead our country, but I believe our country is too prejudice to elect a Mormon and that is sad indeed.

The rest of the Republican pack is too low to even consider.

Honestly I would vote Democratic if they had the balls to nominate someone other than Obama.

If ever there was a time for a third candidate to emerge to lead and unite our country, now would be the time.

I don't think there is a single candidate who isn't serving one agenda or another that isn't in the best interest of the people.
