The staff here decided to let me be part of their team, so let me start by saying that i'm happy to be a part of this, and hope to do whats expected of me.

I'm making this thread as you all know in order to share anything you might like to know about me.

My user name is my actual last name, my first name is Muhammad. I'm 22 and i'm studying right now.

I live and was born in Egypt, and spent all my life here in cairo.

One day i just thought i might like joining a religious forum, to learn a few things about other views in general and hopefully share in some beneficial debates & discussions. So i googled and opened this site and joined, and it turned out a much bigger and beneficial experience than i had in mind. So far i've learned a lot since i joined, and have found something i didn't get much of in real life, which is a wide variety of perspectives.

Other than here i don't really use any sort of forum or social network. I'm interested here because of the learning factor, which is for the major part due to the level of people who usually participate here.

Anyway so i think this should be enough basic information to start with, and of course, please ask anything you want to know.

(Assuming of course, that you would care or bother to know anything about me :D)

Oh man! What's the point of telling us your whole name if we can't stalk you out on Facebook?

Facebook! Facebook! Facebook! :p

So you grew up in Cairo and lived there your whole life. Have you travelled overseas?

Trust me, we're all glad you joined RF and get to know more about you!!

There are some things I've never seen you address.
So....prove you're not a coward....answer these questions:
- Are you stronger at joseki or fuseki?
- Do you prefer cooked or raw carrots?
- Boxers or briefs?
- Favorite Simpsons character?
- Favorite foods?

Mabrouk Hammoudi! (is that also a nickname in Egypt?)

That's exactly the point, i've got nothing to fear, you won't find me anywhere.

Nope, unfortunately not yet.

Trust me, we're all glad you joined RF and get to know more about you!!

Had to say that though, the thread seemed presumptuous and based on the premise that you're all eager to find out exciting info about me :D

I've mastered both.

- Do you prefer cooked or raw carrots?

Raw and hard on the teeth.

- Boxers or briefs?

Boxers.

- Favorite Simpsons character?

I can't say just one, i hope you can accept two. Homer & Willie.

- Favorite foods?

Anything that is eatable or almost eatable. But preferably something called "Mahshi", which is basically certain vegetables stuffed with a certain mixture of rice and other things.

How did i do?

1) What do you do for fun?

A whole lot of Video games, spending lots of time with my friends, reading as much as i can, and for a while now also spending time here at RF. That alongside trying as much as i can to find some time to spend alone doing nothing in an environment i would find relaxing, but not so much of that lately due to lack of time.

2) Why aren't you on Facebook?! :p

:D I won't get much out of it except a few laughs on other people's photos. Most of the stuff that could be done there, are either not interesting to me or i do them already but in a different way.

At what general age do men start looking for marriage partners in your culture? Is that something you are thinking about already?

Probably the average would be something beginning from 20 up to 25 depending on their life and whats going on with it. But usually if they can they'll start looking around that time.

For me, while i'm not completely not considering it, i can't really be aiming to get married anytime soon because i need to do a lot of things before i could be a good husband and father hopefully. Most of that is related to my self control i mean. I need to be much more in control of my life and my behavior, and much more educated in order to be able to raise children in the way i would want to. Add to that of course that i need to make some accomplishments when we talk about the work field in order to be financially ready.

And add to that, that my plans for the near future doesn't really fit well with a partner in the picture, because for her it will be a pretty unstable life doing things she's probably not interested in. Unless i was lucky enough to find someone interested in the same things. Then we could get married, postpone having children, and help each other to be better people on many levels, then hopefully have children. But if that happens i'll have to really speed things up in other areas.

That would be a lot. But for example Japan, United States, Malaysia, China, India, Jamaica, Australia, Saudi Arabia & Jerusalem. The last two mainly as probably obvious for religious reasons.
Wulaa! Why isn't Lebanon on that list? It's only an hour and a half away. Badnan shoofak win'allim masri! (i.e. dude, come visit so you can waste your time teaching me Egyptian phrases that make no sense to me. :D)
