Socialist Healthcare is Fundamentally Flawed

It's failed everywhere it was tried. It makes everyone pay higher taxes. It lowers the quality of healthcare. It makes longer waiting lines. It eliminates people's ability to choose their own healthcare plans and their own doctors. It means lesser healthcare for the elderly. It makes things even easier on people who don't work and skim off government. There is absolutely no desire for anyone to be a doctor. Oh and don't forget that ever since England adopted universal healthcare, patient deaths due to doctor negligence have risen nearly 80% more than they were before.

This is America, if you need a surgery, you get a job and you work for a living like a normal person, don't skim off government programs that let you sit on your *** for 5 years, or wait, even more years now, since they extended unemployment. For every one person who is legitimately bad off and incapable of rational thought and/or working, there are a thousand people who abuse the system for their own personal gain and take money off of social security. Plus it's not like people don't all get healthcare when they need it, liberal propaganda has people believing that if you go into an emergency room you won't get treated simply because you're not "super rich" which is a complete and utter lie. They are required to treat you, it doesn't matter how much money you have.

Why should the government decide what healthcare I get? Why should the government decide who my doctor is? It shouldn't, but that's what people want. People are getting lazy and stupid, they want the government to do everything for them, since they're too lazy to actually get off their *** and do something like they're supposed to. If anyone remembers during the 2008 election, reporters were asking random people off the street why they were voting for who they were voting for, and the number one answer for people who voted for Obama (a Democrat), was that he would "take care of them" and "pay off their debt for them" because they were too ******* stupid to pay off their own debt, in fact, they were stupid enough to get in debt to begin with by purchasing things they don't need on credit.

Except that the greatest single cause of bankruptcy in America is medical debt: Link
Medical bills are also among the highest reasons for taking on high credit card debt. The year I graduated college-- so I was no longer on my parents' insurance-- I had an appendectomy that cost over $10,000. This year, I shattered my calcaneus. Luckily, Obama passed his health care plan, allowing me to be back on my parents' insurance, otherwise, just as I had finished paying off my appendectomy from 2008, I would have been slapped another $18,000 for the necessary orthopedic surgery. It's not like I could have chosen not to have it done, and it's not like I could just refuse to pay it.

Americans pay twice as much for health care as any other developed country, and yet our infant mortality rate and life expectancy is at the lower end.

Access to medical care is a right, not a luxury, and it's a shame that in this wealthy country, we do not have the decency to make sure that people can get that care without having to worry about where the money will come from.

It's great to see you voice opinion, now you need to back your rants with actual proof that what you say is fact and not opinion.
List of Countries with Universal Healthcare « True Cost – Analyzing our economy, government policy, and society through the lens of cost-benefit
These countries have had them instituted for years and counters the BS you've opined on.

Sick people can't work. Yes there are abusers of the system, but they are the ONES WHO DON'T NEED IT.

Where's your support for your allegations? Spouting off your opinion without actual proof can may you look more uneducated.

All health care is fundamentally flawed.
The real trick is to evaluate competing systems & design the most practical.

Unlike Satan's healthcare(capitalist) which is (G**damn) perfect. please, i've compared both and socialist healthcare is a drag for the rich and powerful, who have no sense of decency, respect, or duty.

"Troll" just means they disagree with you.
I should know....I'm a troll too, if you look at responses to my posts here.
Btw, welcome aboard!

Interesting interpretation, but wrong as usual. When you post this same exact OP on at least 10 different sites including a Catholic forum, it's called spamming and trolling. The trolling aspect is when you just post a rant like this that isn't really meant for debate out of the blue.

This gets my vote. We should be identifying what works best from the variety of Public and Private healthcare systems in the world and create a system based on this appropriate to the country in question. Extremes of one or the other appears to result in profiteering like we see in the US or becoming top-heavy in expensive managers like we see in the UK.

It's failed everywhere it was tried. Quite the opposite, and I challenge you to find a country that would voluntarily give it up.
It makes everyone pay higher taxes. The US government already spends way more on healthcare subsidies than any country with universal coverage. We could fully fund a single payer system for less than we're already paying and get a tax rebate.
It lowers the quality of healthcare. So why does US healthcare rate so much lower than healthcare in countries with universal coverage?
It makes longer waiting lines. Where'd you get that? People typically spend six or eight hours in the ER waiting room of the American hospital where I work.
It eliminates people's ability to choose their own healthcare plans and their own doctors. WHAT! Are you mad? That's what for-profit insurance companies currently do. In single payer countries you can walk into any hospital or Dr's office you want and get treated, and in countries with insurance systems, like Germany, you can choose any plan you want -- and they're all non profit.
It means lesser healthcare for the elderly. Now you must be talking about the US system again, with its pre approvals, medical decisions in the hands of insurance clerks, yearly and lifetime expense caps, &c. In other countries you get as much healthcare as you need for as long as you need it.
It makes things even easier on people who don't work and skim off government. There is absolutely no desire for anyone to be a doctor. Where are you coming up with this stuff? Where's the rest of the world get its doctors? Would you really want a Dr who's 1ry motivation was money?
Oh and don't forget that ever since England adopted universal healthcare, patient deaths due to doctor negligence have risen nearly 80% more than they were before.
Link?
And how do you explain the general improvement in health since then, and the public's acceptance of it?

This is America, if you need a surgery, you get a job and you work for a living like a normal person, don't skim off government programs that let you sit on your *** for 5 years, or wait, even more years now, since they extended unemployment. So america is all about dog-eat-dog, every men for himself competition? Sounds rather like that paragon of freedom: Somalia.
The government is us. It's supposed to be a mutual, self-help co-operative, like a gigantic family.

Why should the government decide what healthcare I get? It won't. That's what the current, for-profit insurance system does. Drs here have to tailor their care to what the patient's insurance will cover, not what's best for the patient.
Why should the government decide who my doctor is? Again, that's what the current system is already doing. Socialize the system a bit and there would be no more 'approved' lists -- you could see and be treated by any Dr, anywhere, anytime.
It shouldn't, but that's what people want. People are getting lazy and stupid, they want the government to do everything for them, since they're too lazy to actually get off their *** and do something like they're supposed to. Again, the government is us. Why are you so opposed to family members helping and caring for each other?

Smurph's are so cute when they try to reason.

Says the guy who spells "Smurf" wrong, and uses 's for a plural. I guess it's easier to try to attack the poster than attack their argument, though. That's what usually happens when one has no argument. Sort of the equivalent of "Oh, yeah? Well, you're dumb!". It's just too bad an old man has to resort to that.

How is it against the rules to carry on multiple conversations at once?
You aren't looking for a debate. You are just doing it to try to get a rise out of people. That's why you do it on multiple forums. Hey, if that's what you need to massage your ego, but if you come here with that ****, you better be ready to back it up with facts.......now where are the facts to back up your statements or are you just talking out of your ***?
