Assassination of Muslim Minds

Sajdah

Al-Aqsa Is In My Heart.
a valid reason? That a woman scientist drove her car off a cliff in 1952? That makes no sense.
All the murdered scientists (Iraqis, Egyptians, Iranians, Turks, and Saudis) deliberately drove their cars off a cliff...Does that make sense to you?

If anything we would welcome an increase in education as it is often linked to less extremism and more balanced governments.
What do you mean by saying "we"?! And by saying that you certainly have no problem with Iran's use of science to have a nuclear power, right?

Do you have sources for this Lava,i find it hard to believe there is some kind of conspiracy to wipe out Muslim Scientists, realistically though its just down to some Muslims not wanting other Muslims to be educated.

i assume you meant Iraq. if yes then yes of course. when i first heard the news there were nearly 700 deads. number raised to thousands in years. i did share links before but since Western media never speaks about it, they were all in Turkish. i believe it is possible to find it in Iraqi local papers; name by name. after all Turks were translating from Iraqi media back then. not just scientists though. specially doctors were in danger. some got killed and others had to flee to other nations to survive. well you call it conspiracy but it is a fact, a reality. there are dozens of issues that's known and proven in this region of the world. truth would not disappear just because some part of the world is not aware of them. i believe truth would come out eventually

Names of all the murdered Iraqi, Egyptian, Iranian and Turkish scientists, please?

I repeat, it would be much more beneficial to Muslim science and science in general if Muslim-majority countries would improve their educational system than obsessing about decades old conspiracy theories.

How many Muslim biologists have been allegedly murdered? Astronomers? Chemists? Why do you think Muslims have made negligible contributions to the science of Biology?

I too would like to see the names of these people that where killed mysteriously, from an objective source (though I've read on here some Muslims even have the balls to say any objective source is anti-Islam, so I'm not going to hold my breath. Some of these people are way disconnected from reality)

I can believe the west would indiscriminately kill civilians and innocents to gain oil and land but seriously why would it kill doctors and scientist? The west has no vested interests in making Muslims less educated, the leaders of those Muslim countries however have all the interest since smarter people tend to be harder to control.

But seriously why would the west even bother, if they had the resources and man power to do this shadowy conspiracy stuff wouldn't it make more sense that they would eliminate the top politicians and replace them with puppets? You don't need smart people to keep running a country and you can buy weapons if you have enough resources.

If you said something like there has been X amount of deaths in Iraq and of those 700 were Scientists ok,but why would Doctors be targeted, doesn't make sense to me

Sajdah said:
No one can deny that, but you can not also deny the fact that Muslims didn't target jewish scientists although we can find the Mossad targeting ours, no one opposed their possession of nuclear power, the USA and other countries didn't invade them and killed their scientists, and academics, on the contrary, they are welcomed in the USA, and no one assassinates them if they preferred to serve their so called Jewish nation...... See, that's the difference!!
Hmm, well that is a good point, although this only could help explain the state of nuclear research in Muslim countries, not other areas of research.

I looked at the list of Iraqi academics killed during the U.S.-coalition occupation, published by Pakistan Daily. But is there evidence the U.S. went around deliberately assassinating Iraqi academics? There are many attacks and assassinations that occurred in Iraq which we know were done by militant Sunni or Shi'a groups there, so why couldn't they be responsible for these assassinations as well? The academics in the list could have been among many thousands who were killed by a fanatical suicide bomber while leaving a mosque, and many other similar attacks and killings, for example (in these particular attacks al-Zarqawi claimed responsibility). Many prominent Iraqis have been assassinated because they worked for the Iraqi government or cooperated with the coalition forces.

Personally, I do not see why Saudi Arabia could not make outstanding contributions to science. The Saudis have the wealth and security and the goodwill of Western governments. I could be wrong, but the examples of Saudi science I have seen are beholden to the religion of Islam in some way instead of just doing science (e.g. a textbook about how the human embryo is accurately described by the Qu'ran, or award-winning student research on the medicinal properties of nano-particles and camel urine, as predicted by the hadith). I've also seen the Saudi government trying to attract U.S. science students to go to Saudi Arabia, I don't think these efforts are very successful, on the other hand U.S. universities have too many international applicants and a relative shortage of American scientists.

So let me be sure that I'm reading the intent of the OP right. Are you saying that the West is targeting Muslim scientists on a large scale, in order to eradicate them and oppress Muslim-dominated countries?

Now you don't expect them to come out and say such a thing explicitly.:p

What I got is the reason Muslims have made such a tiny contribution to modern science is that Israel has killed all their good scientists.

What do you expect when the Muslim guide book is the protocols of the elders of Zion.

There was a time when Muslims where at the forefront of science and rationality.

It's a pity that the real reason Islam is feared and hated is covered up for; fundamentalist have took over and the Muslims that could make a change of things have blinded themselves of it.

i don't know why would American soldiers should steal all the old Islamic books that don't even have another copy and carry them out of Iraq. i don't know why would American forces target every teacher of Baghdad University. i don't know why US army should treat Iraqis who's well educated and able to teach next generations. i don't know why should they either force doctors to flee out of nation or kill them in a place where they started a war. truth is i don't discuss this stuff because we are medias-apart from each other and therefor it is useless. but you've heard it at least once. btw i have never said only a few thousand scientists got killed. over a million Iraqis got killed and those scientists are among them

The insurgents in Iraq sunni or shia are all lumped together as resistance fighters so its unthinkable they killed anybody other than US military personnel.
I wouldnt be surprised if the Israelis assassinated some scientists maybe nuclear physicists or something so that's the traditional bogeyman under the bed and don't forget the Great Satan is responsible for everything else.

So in a nutshell that's why "Islamic" countries don't contribute much to science because the US and Israel kill them all and the modus operandi is driving them off a cliff-- well they couldn't wait for them to go swimming so the Mossed agent in Shark suit could finish them off.

And since all Muslim scientists are Iraqis, and it's well-known what amazing contributions to modern science these Iraqi scientists made, it's clear that the invasion of Iraq is what destroyed Muslim science.

This may be of interest;

Between March 2003 and October 2008, 31,598 violent attacks against educational institutions were reported in Iraq, according to the Ministry of Education (MoE).508 Although overall security in Iraq had improved, the situation faced by schools, students, teachers and academics remained dangerous.509 The MoE reported 259 academics assassinated, another 72 abducted and 174 in detention between 2003 and 2008. The Ministry of Human Rights, however, reported 340 university professors and 446 students killed by insurgents and militias between 2005 and 2007. UNAMI Human Rights Reports indicate that between July 2005 and late March 2007 more than a hundred students were killed, mostly by suicide bombs, car bombs and mortar rounds targeted at universities and schools, with more than half the deaths occurring in two incidents in January 2007.510

UNHCR | Refworld | Education under Attack 2010 - Iraq

The failure of coalition forces to foresee the wholesale looting of Iraqi antiquaries is well documented its an industry in Iraq and has always been a problem.

I'm sorry, when did I say I hate anyone? What I said was, if Muslims want to make significant contributions to science, they need to improve their educational institutions, culture, and family values regarding education. Do you disagree?

Obviously, if you live in Chaman, Pakistan, and you're a boy, and the only schooling you ever receive is to memorize the qur'an in Arabic, you're not going to be in a position to contribute anything to modern science. Furthermore, if you live in Spin Boldak, Afghanistan, and you're a girl, and the Taliban makes it impossible for you to attend school, your contribution to science also will be lost. Sadly, Islam is wasting its human capital, which is bad for Muslims and deprives the rest of the world of potential valuable scientific contributions.

But the OP, instead of advocating doing something helpful about the situation, chooses to fixate on car accidents in the 1950's. Not very helpful.

I do. It's not up to the people, not anymore. The power is now with governments to enact change --this is the reality we live in today. Even in the United States, government is no longer of, by and for the people. There's too many of them.

Maybe the antiquities are a problem,i'm not sure on that one,i am sure that it is Muslims killing Muslim minds,it doesn't stop there though, old and young people and a special torture and death for Homosexuals and it can be from Shia or Sunni Muslim Militias.

Militant Islam reminds me of revolutionary Russia where the killed not only the royal family but intellectuals and burned hundreds of books, this is what its like for these militants in that they don't want people to be educated, they want everyone to have just one book which in a fast moving world just isn't enough.

Of course, but it's a well known thing and not some sort of conspiracy. The U.S. has a long history of supporting tyrants in the name of "democracy" but wanting to specifically destroy Islam is far fetched.
