Saudi school lessons in UK concern government

I think the teachers who taught this should be prosecuted for hate crimes and racism.

Panda, is there a reason why freedom of speech should be overlooked in this case? Perhaps because it involves Islam. Are Neo-Nazis any better?

It's interesting that we were showered with lectures about freedom of speech in the last few days but days were enough to reveal the concealed. Hypocrisy at its best.

What a Muslim can learn from this is not to take lecturers of freedom of speech seriously.

This is ok but burning a book is an arrestable offence?
Not only that it encourages MURDER. Free speech is one thing but saying certain groups of people should be killed is different.
If they were Neo-Nazis I would be saying the exact same thing. I have nothing but contempt from anyone like this regardless of race, religion, belief etc.

So you defend people that teach children that certain people should be killed because of their sexuality?

I have no problem with teachings kids about the Islamic Shari'a view that certain behaviors constitute crimes and they are punishable like teaching them that theft constitute a crime and the penalty that should be carried out by the Islamic government should be so and so according to our Islamic sources. Oh this includes of course adultery and sodomy.

Panda, I think I was clear in my last post. No need to single out homosexual sex from what I said. Because illegal heterosexual sex is punishable just like illegal homosexual and sodomite sex when witnessed according to Islam. In addition, other crimes are included like theft...etc. I have no reason whatsoever to make it a discussion about homosexuality specifically. The Islamic stance is clear like the sun on all these issues.

You seem to have an objection to the right of freedom of speech. Isn't it ironic to contrast this thread with that of "Palestinian Atheist Arrested" thread.

The fact is that they are not harming anyone and as such it is not a punishable offense. It's not a public school and is out of the jurisdiction of the state. There is no legal punishment to ascribe.

I see. Well quite frankly that is a disgusting and horrible attitude which is no worse than these people that teach that Islam is evil.

I don't think you can comprehend how hateful, disgusting and totally lacking in even the tiniest fraction of human decency I find this view.

They weren't advocating murder.

Who care!! Is this enough to rob my freedom of speech? ;) I have the right to voice my views; what constitute a crime and thus punishable and what that don't. Just like I do it in here. Freedom of speech, man!! Why is it so hard to understand?

They weren't advocating murder.
They were stating the Islamic view. Secondly, what if I advocated the execution penalty for rape crimes, should I be jailed?

Irrelevant. It is protected speech nonetheless.

Speech loses that protection when it incites violence against the innocent. Death threats are obviously illegal.
Also freedom of speech and a child's education are two different things. It's horrible that these poor children are being brainwashed into being disgusting beasts.

It is not irrelevant that you are telling someone to MURDER another human being. How would you feel if I went around saying that all followers of Islam should die? Would you so valiantly defend my rights to say and encourages other?

Freedom of speech only when it doesn't incite violence and encourage others to break the law. Why is that so hard to understand?

That would almost be as barbaric. But homosexuality is not a crime. It would be more appropriate to compare it to say making Islam illegal and executing all followers of Islam. Except Islam is a choice, homosexuality is not.
