Good bye one and all

Just to say that I am leaving the forum.

To be honest, I was expecting to have discussions about evolution and creation without the abuse.

My job is getting busy.

I think that I have explained my line of thinking on these matters and I am fairly confident that I have done so in a polite and respectful manner.

If people want a reasonable debate with Creationists, then I think people here need to tone down the abuse. If the abuse was not present then I would stick around - the discussions would take a long time due to my other commitments but they would still take place.

I think it is sad that Evolutionists malign Creationists and Creationists malign Evolutionists. Its pathetic really. I don't understand why we can not have respectful discussions.

Well, farewell and God bless.

I say don't leave for good....just take a vacation. Yeah, some people just can't hold a civil conversation when they know they're
right & the other side is Satan's spawn. Economic issues are just as bad. So if/when you return, try to avoid certain posters.

I actually liked that one. He made overtures at using science and wasn't an insufferable tool like *Edit*.

Still, saying "all of biology is wrong because my bible says so" isn't like raising a well thought out political ideal and wanting to debate its values. It's demonstrably false, many times over, and you can't expect a polite debate between equally valid concepts when you're bringing something that silly to the table.

Well, maybe partially insufferable, but a tool nonetheless.

Good luck trying to add some detail to your thoughts on evolution/creation.
Science is always going to be seeking out the details and the mechanisms.... You can't diagnose a disease properly without the details of the symptoms and you can't understand evolution/creation without dealing with the details of biology.

Shame to see you go. I think because this is a forum it is easier for posters to cut loose. I hope you reconsider

Take care and God bless. Keep fighting for the truth. Remember how an evolutionist thinks. If they are an atheist then evolution must be true so no amount of data will convince them otherwise, because they are an atheist therefore evolution must be true. If they are a OEC then they are looking for acceptance by the scientific community so evolution must be true. They want acceptance and congradulatory from the online coummunity as well. In other words they will make the Bible anything to anybody in order to seem reasonable. And if they are a scientist or professor then they want to keep their job, so evolution is of course true.

I wish you well, just do not make the mistake and think like Man of Faith about those that disagree with you.

Irony alert.

But in all honesty... the creation vs evolution "debate" is really people who understand biology trying to educate people who don't... unfortunately...some people (creationist) who don't don't understand biology don't want to understand it.

Okay, normally I don't see immense problems with your posts but this is a pile of vitriolic garbage and I don't even have to really comment on why for it to be obvious. It's also interestingly backwards. Hmm... pot... kettle... black?

the problem is we're comparing apples to oranges. Evolution makes a scientific explanation of how we got here. Creationism makes a theological understanding of our relationship to God.

You mean, "if there is solid evidence for the Theory, up to and including fossils, lab reproductions and even all-out genetic engineering, and no real alternative explanation, then I guess I'll believe in it"?
