The Posture of belief in God.

. Jesus warned us of Hell more than he spoke of Heaven ).

This is just an outright Christian deception, and I challange you to prove it. The bible period references Heaven far more than it does hell.

Hell is refered to in the bible slightly over 70 times.

Heaven is refered to over 1,700 times.

Peace.

Jesus warned us of Hell more than he spoke of Heaven quote]

I just finished a short study and I wanted to show you how wrong you are. Jesus spoke of Heaven some 120 times, he spoke of hell 16 times.

Just look it up for yourself, a simple concordance would help you.

Peace.

Ok, I did some research, and I agree with you that Jesus spoke more of Heaven or the Kingdom of Heaven, etc. than of Hell. However, there are 162 references to hell in the NT, and 70 references by Jesus. So, if Jesus mentioned Hell or eternal condemnation or whatnot, just ONCE, that establishes it. Truth is, the Bible tells us there is Heaven and there is Hell and we end up in one or the other. Jesus DIED to save us from something, and that was eternal damnation in Hell. Understand that he left his throne in glory to become a man and suffer terribly and be horribly crucified, put to death to save us from SOMETHING and that is HELL. If there were no place called Hell he would not have had to die to save us from it. And he says if we trust him that his death paid for our sins, then we go to Heaven for FREE, that is great!! But if we do not, he says we are "condemned already". Jesus said no man comes to the Father but by him, and there is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved, he is the only one worthy, the lamb with out flaw, who loved us and died for us to save us from hell.

I disagree, Jesus died to save us from sin, period. The penalty for sin that God placed on earth is death, not this hell you covet. Your believing and spreading a serious mistranslation in the bible made by King James and his ilk.

Gehenna was a place of torment, the Valley of Hinnom, southwest of Jerusalem. The valley came to be reguarded as a place of abomination because some of the Isralites sacrificed their children to Moloch there. In a later period it was made a refuse dump and perpetual fires were maintained there to prevent pestilence. Thus, translators of the bibles New Testement, made " Gehenna" synonymous with hell, and this deception has been spread ever since.

The term " Hell" shouldnot even be in the bible, but it got put in there. In fact, I believe every verse that mentions eternal punishing, is in error, and thats my view, they just do not fit in the flow of the bible, its like a curse on the bible.

Peace.

When an unbelieving mind is thinking in terms of should they believe , a type of " War" is now occuring within the Consciousness. Unbelief is like the Consciousness being in a box, ( and I personally believe that no human can get out of that box unless God himself opens it), the Consciousness is " Seared", or sealed in effect. But when the unbeliever is seriously considering God, or is God real , really truthfully just wanting to know , that is a mental dynamic posture to take.

And the true war is beginning.

And I want to go into that.

Peace.

Unbelief is as relevant as belief, it is just a different way of looking at the world, no big deal.

No big deal to you, but a world of thought exist outside of your world, and to many others, it is a big deal. Belief and unbelief, I think are amoung the most important factors in the lifespan of a human.

One might ask of human history; What has been the most important determing factor in shaping human history, belief or unbelief?

I think the answer is obvious.

I reckon in the scheme of things belief or unbelief is no big deal, as I bet no one has a handle on it!

I recall a young lady I dated years ago in my 30's, she looked at me one day and said abruptly;" Mike, sit up straight!" She said your always leaning or sloping when you sit. Straighten up your posture! She told me even when I walk, I walk like a drunk, bent over a bit. Well it was probally because I was a drunk, but I paied attention to her and improved quite a bit. I improved my posture. But it was hard to straighten up after so many years of being bent.

The move from unbelief to a posture of belief will be hard as well.

And I want to go into that.

Peace.

Growing from the posture of unbelief to belief can be like walking uphill with a great weight you have to carry on your back, and you cannot see over the hill. Easy to turn back and relieve yourself. Often you have to endure certain people and influences along the way, who are just standing there , going nowhere, but criticizing your effort to get through this. The weight is hurting your posture of wanting to believe , and even things within yourself may be screaming at you: " What are you doing? You know god does not exist, stop this foolishness, get off this hill, turn back, its not worth it!"

And your posture is hurting.

And I want to go into that hurt Posture of belief.

Peace.

You're implying that atheistic belief has always been and always will be the majority opinion/belief. Which is laughable. Or you're saying Christianity is the biggest brainwashing scheme ever and if so I agree with you, though I'm guessing you mean the former.

Cue the graphics bar with majority of Christians saying "help we're being oppressed" on it

Change is inevitable , something we all will endure in one change or another. My beliefs have changed so many times, I can't count them. It was part of the " Quest", the search, the desire to know. Change often hurts , but it shapes and matures the posture of our belief.

When it hurts, it helps.-- Simple, yet true. If the change is needed and is destined, then so is the pain.

And I want to go into the pain of belief in God.

Peace.

To believe in God is a certain step into pain. Its going to hurt, not only you, but others. When you step close to awesome unbridled pure power , somethings going to give! Somethings are going to hurt, and thats just the way it is. So to posture your belief toward God, some courage is just going to have to be involved. I am reminded of the cowardly lion, shaking and trembling as he approached the great wizard of Oz. Walking down that long hall toward the unknown.

The posture of belief in God is MOST defintely a walk toward the unknown, nobody human knows God, nobody! All we can do is read and speculate and wonder in awe! More than a myth or fairytale, this is " Otherworldly", its beyond fantasy island, its a challange to any human consciousness. Its going to take some courage to consider God, and you are making an appointment with fear and pain.

Not that God is going to hurt you, the pain is in the transformation from unbelief- to belief, thats going to require some pain. Its going to hurt your mind, hurt your pride, hurt your belief system, hurt your selfishness, hurt your whole mental atmosphere!

Anyone who is considering changing a posture from unbelief to belief , is asking for a fight.

And I want to continue on that.

Peace.

If a posture is not changed for the better, the person stays slumped over, and must grow in that position continually. Then life is lived out in that position, and everything they think and do, is based on that position.

The posture of belief in God is a reeling position to be in.

And I want to go into that.

Peace.

Taking a posture of belief in God is like becomming a target in which others will pratice their unbelief on. It naturally draws ridicule and contempment.

A dedication of your purpose is going to be needed in your posture.

And I want to show what can help in that dedication.

Peace.

God is a great purpose, so your posture of belief in God needs to be " A great experience in your Consciousness." It is worth nothingless than your whole heart being invested in this Posture.

And I want to go into the posture of " Whole hearted belief."

Peace.
