Hello,

I put up an introduction on the Intro page, but I soon realized that this is really the only page Ill post on so I thought I would throw one up here as well.

My name is Terry and I have been practicing Taoism for almost 30 years within the Pole Star sect lineage. I grew up with a Chinese man from China on political asylum from the current government that he had to flee due to his past as a general and the present at the time being a Taoist.
I know a little and think I know allot - but Im always willing to share and learn - hehe

For the last few years I have been making Taoist calendars for western Taoists to follow - taoistcalendars.org. It takes some time to translate the dates and such but its my contribution to Taoism and the Deities that have given me so much in return.

Anyhow, just wanted to say hi, feel free to ask me questions about Orthodox Taoism, been around it for sometime and always willing to lend a hand.

Welcome Taoren. Not many religious Taoists here, most of us being enamoured with the philosophy of Tao. Would you mind posting up an outline of your beliefs.

Welcome! Since the majority of us are philosophical taoists, I hope there will be tons of new questions that you will know the answers to. And I look forward to those answers. :D

Definitely. I know next to nothing about religious Taoism.
So I may have many questions for you in the future as well.

Yes, I consider Christ to be a part of the Tao as well you and I and everyone and every thing.
As for being the Tao, that is a hard one. He was not only a profit, many Taoists believe he was a reincarnate of Laojun, which is lord of the lowest of heavens and one of the three embodiments of the Tao - so yes he is a reflection of one that is the embodiment, much like Laotzu.
