Israel will soon open the so-called Third Temple Museum a few meters from Al Aqsa Mosque in Al-Quds, Islam's third holiest shrine. Al-Aqsa Foundation for Waqf and Heritage said part of the museum will open to Jewish visitors on Saturday, December 12. Israel captured Al-Quds in 1967 and later annexed the holy city in a step never recognized internationally. (AWKF Photos)....

I've heard about a religious temple or area of some sort that is debated over by both sides (The Jews and the Muslims), is this Al-Aqsa?

An area which is partly controlled by both groups or something, am I right?

One of the gates of the "temple museum"

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage that caters for the holy shrines in occupied Palestine has exposed Thursday an Israeli plan to inaugurate a new museum for the alleged Temple in front of the Aqsa Mosque.
According to the foundation, the museum would comprise halls, rooms, and exhibitions focusing on teaching the concepts of building the alleged Temple, and would exhibit false narrations on Jewish history in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
It added that the new museum would overlook the Aqsa Mosque and that it was constructed tens of meters away from it, revealing that American actor Kirk Douglass and his son actor Michael Douglass donated most of the building cost of 20 million dollars.
The museum was built on Palestinian land located between the Magharbah and Sharaf suburbs that was usurped by the Israeli occupation in 1967, the foundation underlined, warning that the IOA was hurrying up the construction of the museum in order to complete it as early as possible.

Muslim-Christian bureau: Israeli media incite to destroy the Aqsa Mosque!

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The Muslim-Christian bureau in occupied Palestine has warned Thursday that the Israeli media outlets were carrying out an incitement campaign against the Aqsa Mosque and that Arabs and Muslims shouldn’t take this lightly.
According to the bureau, the Hebrew media outlets were leading an unprecedented incitement campaign against the Aqsa Mosque through igniting the religious feelings of the Israeli settlers and of charging them with more extremism and aggression.
In a press release he made Thursday, Hassan Khater, the secretary-general of the bureau, deplored what was published in the Hebrew Ha’aretz newspaper about a Jewish prophecy alleging that Jews would start constructing the alleged “Third Temple” on the ruins of the Aqsa Mosque on the 16th of March next year. The rabbinical prophecy, according to Khater, was made by Jewish rabbi Jaon Feliena in the 18th century.
He added that the Hebrew media outlets poured oil on fire as they tried to give credibility to such prophecy by linking it to a synagogue being now constructed in the old town of occupied Jerusalem, and that the construction of the alleged temple would start once the synagogue is completed on the 16th of March, the date of Feliena’s prophecy.
In this regard, Khater highlighted the danger of such propaganda on the very existence of the Aqsa Mosque amidst the heated competition among more than 20 Jewish organizations “trying to get the religious honor of destroying the Aqsa Mosque and constructing the Temple on its ruins”, urging both Muslim and Arab ummah not to take the Israeli threats against the Mosque lightly and to stand up to protect its identity.
