I agree, but some people think homosexuality is a choice... but honestly, I don´t know. It does not make much sense to me, lol.

What madhatter is failing to consider is that survival of the race depends not only on breeding children, but on taking care of the ones we have. We're doing a great job of the former, and really don't need any help with that. Where we're failing is on the latter. This is where gay and lesbian families can and do help. They need our support to do that, in the form of same-sex marriage protections. That is why, as the Supreme Court says, marriage is fundamental to our survival, and that includes same-sex marriage.

Actually there have been various holes in your argument you just are oblivious or ignore them.

Here's another one. You have previously stated that if something is not behavioral then people should not have their ability to marry restricted by it. When outlawing same-sex marriage you are in fact not restricting people based on their sexuality, but on their sex/gender. It wouldn't matter if two heterosexual males tried to get married, they would be barred from doing so based on their gender. You have previously placed gender in the same category as ethnicity and infertility.

Also, still waiting for the links to the studies you said showed heterosexual parents were superior.

False, Marriage as defined by the Supreme Court is fundamental to our very existence and survival.
A species that reproduces sexually needs a member of each sex to participate for procreation to occur. This is simply a natural consequence of our species having the sexes divided.

It is not that. Marriage is ruled by the supreme court to be fundamental to our very existence and survival.

There is no other possible way to interpret that other than they were talking about propagation of the species.

So how is discriminating based on the inability of two people of the same gender to produce children different than people who are unable to do to being infertile?

Also, what are those studies you alluded to?

And as have been pointed out before, this position would also prevent asexuals and hetrosexuals who do not want to ever have children to marry and also does not care if the people in question actually love each other.

infertility is, again, not a behavior and thus is not comparable to homosexual behavior

The issue of weather or not hetero couples are gettin' it on
in the bedroom is most definately a behavioral one,
and should be checked up on by the agency of governmental marital affairs.

We can't be giving benefits to those who are not fulfilling their duty
to the cause of existence and survival.
Corporeal slackers should not be tollerated.
Why should they get any benefits? duh.
