According to New Testament scripture:

The word Gospel actually means GOOD NEWS. Part of Yeshua/Jesus Christ's basic GOOD NEWS message which his disciples preached also was that one must be born again to receive salvation (or to be saved).

Yeshua/Jesus Christ mentioned often the pending wrath of God and that one should avoid it by accept him. The body of believers accepted this message and were transformed by the Holy Spirit the same day per bible scripture.

Mods, I ask that you set the sticky on this one please. So the poll will become somewhat meaningful.

I don't think we will know who is saved until Jesus opens his little black book with the saved ones name in it.

I do not under stand in the concept of being saved.
If you believe in the Teaching of Calvin , and most protestant churches do... then It is not up to you any way, as it has been predetermined by God at the beginning of time.

I neither believe in Calvin nor the concept of being saved.

Those who repent their sins will have them forgiven and shorne away when they return to God
I believe every ones soul returns to God, however unrepentant sinners will only have their original unblemished soul, as if they had never lived.

being saved is a spiritual process that occurs tghrough interaction with the divine.
To be reborn in spirit. It is seldom something exoteric christians understand, as they do not seek to go beyond their individuality through mystical rebirth.

To say "protestant churches" means you have bought into influence Catholic religion. Only Catholic members were the protestants for it was their faith.

I'm not a protestant anymore than anyone else who does not accept Catholicism as truth.

Calvinism has nothing to do with this topic.

We can have many opinions, however, they may not line-up with the Word of God as in this case:
I believe every ones soul returns to God, however unrepentant sinners will only have their original unblemished soul, as if they had never lived.

In an esoteric sense yes.

When the constructs of my mentally upheld world fell,
I found mySelf in a whole new place.
Both graveyard and garden.
The heightened experience of dark... and light.
It was not until then that I was able to "Realize" who I was...
who I am...
and who I am BEcoming.

I took my scepter/wand/staff as Heiress of Source.

I'm strictly speaking biblically here

The bible contains the Word of God.

Is this it?

When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations … then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy. (Deuteronomy 7:1-2)

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest you haven't actually read the Bible from start to finish.

I am firmly entrenched in the third option. I have no need to be saved, thanks, just the same.

The bible contains the Word of God.

If it does....your God has a potty mouth.

I Kings 14:10
"I will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall."

Nahum 3:5-6
"I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will show the nations thy nakedness and thy kingdoms thy shame."

Ezekiel 4:12
"The Lord commanded: And thou shalt eat it is barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight."

My personal favorite thing that God does in the Bible is this little nugget:

Isaiah 3:17
"Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will discover their secret parts."

Secret parts is merely a euphemism. The Hebrew word being translated is "poth" which literally means vagina.....so in essence God is a molester. That can't be very moral or good.

The concept of needing "saving" does not apply in my faith, especially since your only speaking biblically. But then the bible itself doesn't apply to my faith. The closest I get is the idea of breaking free of societal molds and constructs to be purely "yourself", whatever that may entail. But in this sense it is up to us to "save ourselves" and not up to any other being, divine or otherwise.
