Doing it terrifies me.

oh people are capable of much more cruelty than that Mball my friend, you may have to harden up a bit. or it could send you crazy.

despicable though it is , and they should be punished for it, its small potatoes in this savage garden of ours.

Um...thanks, but no. When teenagers setting a dog on fire just to watch it writhe in pain doesn't upset me, I don't really want to live anymore. Yes, worse tragedies have happened, but that doesn't mean this isn't worth getting upset about. I think what really needs to happen is you need to find a heart.

I wouldn't say that. Burning something alive like that just for fun is about as bad as it gets. I'm sorry you aren't bothered by the burning alive of a dog, but generally people who have a heart are.

does doing it, terrify you more than the reason for doing it? what was the reason ? boredom?

Human nature isn't as horrible as it's made out to be, I think. There is good in a lot of people.

Personally, I find it disgusting that a dog was actually burned alive. I'm a lot less concerned about whether I could actually do that, because quite frankly, I know I'd burn myself alive before I did it to another living thing.

I agree..MOST humans would be repulsed or in fact are at burning a dog alive.I think the majority of us by far if we were present would have done everything in our power to stop it..Including using violence towards the ones fixing to do this.I dont know if I would "burn myself alive" Im not that brave.I knew a guy that tripped out and poured gas on his body and set himself on fire. Its no way to go.Ironically he was burned so deep that he couldnt even feel anything after the intial "burining".His nerve endings were gone.He lived for 12 hours. It was "total body injury".

Oh, I agree with you totally. I just have to go there however. How do you feel about the people who planned the hi-jacking of airplanes that took down the twin towers? Is pouring a gallon of water over them while holding their nose shut to extract information wrong?

Emotionally, I'm sure a lot of us would like to torture animal abusers and terrorists, but from an ethical/legal standpoint, we understand why it would be wrong to actually do it.

I would worry about those who have no empathy or compassion for the suffering of innocent life, as it's a sign they lack their humanity.

Bed wetting? Really? Not sure about playing with fire either, I love playing with fire but I don't think I'm a sociopath and I have no desire to burn down peoples houses. I just like playing with fire.

Sorry, setting fires in ways that hurt people and or property. All of the behaviors tend to be group together sociopath. So the budding psychopath might have in his history of killing a dog in middle school, wetting his bed to 14, and set his shed on fire in high school. As you can see all of the behaviors as seen in a group could not be seen as a normal child. Killing a dog and tourching it is a twofor.

whets the horrifying thing here ? is that a fellow human could do this ? Its petty stuff, there was a thread on here a while ago with people burning three human beings they thought were witches! The horrifying thing is we are all capable of this, most of us suppress the underlying violence that has made our species so prevalent. It terrifies us and angers us that those Kids could be ordinary.

In general kids killing large mammals is not as ordinary behavior. Killing Frogs, bugs, lizards are seen normal child behavior, cats and dogs are not. I would say we should make the assumption that something is really wrong with any kid who kills large mammals.
