Video Games

I cuss like a sailor when one of my games is ticking me off. :flirt:
The girlfriend thinks I'm mental because I shout at my wee players in the football games.

"Pass it ya wee gimp!"

Of course it isn't my fault when I lose - it's them lazy players. Or the referee. Clearly biased.

What is the worst game you ever played? Did you play it all the way to the end or did you have to discontinue it? What do you personally think are the aspects that go into making a bad video game?

I know some are going to disagree, but the worst game I ever played was Mario smash brothers Melee. I didn't finish it and never will. Neither will I even think of playing the new smash brothers or any to come..

Many many people did enjoy the game so I can't say anything about why it would be a bad game, but for me it was buttonbashing, flying out of the screen all the time (either me or my opponent) and a lot of happening around nothing! Inever saw developpers put so much stuff in such an empty game. I expected it to sell good in first place as it has many known charackters in it, but that it became "a good game"... :thud:

The worst game I have ever play might have been Bullet Witch. I didn't play it all the way though.

Yeah, I agree that the whole Smash Bros. series of games are over-hyped, shallow button mashers.

The only game I bought that I thought was terrible was Masters of Orion 3 on the PC. I loved MoO 2 turn-based game and thought 3 would be the next best thing. I think I tried it out for 1 night and never touched it after that. In a fit of dishonesty, I repacked the game to look like I didn't open it up and then returned it to get my money back. I now do a bit of research before I buy a game.

It's only the best selling game on the Gamecube and one of the most beloved for that platform, but I can understand why some people don't like it. It's a very difficult game to play.

Yeah, the monotony and lack of depth does make it difficult to play. Want to know of another lame, over-hyped video game series? Halo.

Oh I definitely agree with you there. But I've literally played over 200 hours of Smash Brothers, and it's still fun. But to each his own, that's why we have different genres of games.

Hands down, Final Fantasy 7

The only thing I didn't like about Final Fantasy 7 (and it is a really major complaint) is that when I got to the end battle with Sephiroth, I could never beat him because I never obtained a certain item in the game that was necessary to beat him. When you play a game for that long and there is no way you can conclude it (in my case it would probably have to be by starting from the beginning) there is something wrong with the design. I didn't mind the heart and the meat of FFVII but I felt the requirements of the ending were unfair.

One off the top of my head is BLASTO (PSone). I thought the concept of a bumbling Star Cadet (voiced by the late Phil Hartman) saving Space Babes was (and still is) a neat premise but unforgiving gamelplay, wonky controls and a really difficult level designs marred this title. I still own it and someday I would like to punish myself and go through it from beginning to end.

What item was that. I don't remember ever having to get any special item to bet him. He was just a pretty tough boss to begin with........SuperNova......

Maybe he was talking about "Knights of the Round" materia? I can't imagine being able to win that fight without it. Other than that, I don't remeber any special items either.

BTW, FF7 rocks. :ignore:

My complaint is that I bought the game to play, not watch movies.
