Happy Baha'i New Year to all of the Baha'i followers. Is it a coincidence that it is also the first day of Spring?

.
The Naw Ruz (New Year) holiday is so ancient in Persia no one knows WHO started it. The pagans before Zoroaster celebrated it, The Zoroastrians followed the early tradition. The advent of Christianity in Persia and the Islamic traditions all adopted it in order.

It is a time of celebration and most traditional Persian household will put up a Haft Siin table, the table showcases seven things that begin with the Persian letter "S"--a goldfish in a bowl, a small pot of green wheat grass, etc., etc..

It has been pinned to the first day of spring and I assume it began with the tendency of the Persians to observe the skies much like the ancient druids did.

Regards,
Scott
