So I'm a Christian without a religion, as I'm unsure what denomination gets it. Thought it might be fun and I might learn something to debate some topic regarding Christianity, such as why one denomination is better than another, or why some other religion is better than Christianity in general, or why atheism why atheism is better than any religion. I'm easy. Suggest a topic of discussion.
This is a very difficult topic to discuss, especially amongst Christians both Black and White. Some will argue that the appearance of the Messiah does not or should not matter, only his message and his sacrifice for our sins.
And I agree 100% that his color has nothing to do with our salvation... But, if his color does not matter, why do some people go out of their way to hide how he really looked? What are they trying to hide from us?
The truth is, the very bible that most of our people...
Megachurch pastor Robert Jeffress would vote for Trump over Jesus
A right-wing Texas megachurch pastor admits he’d vote for Donald Trump over Jesus — who he accused of being weak on terrorism.
You know, I was debating an evangelical professor on NPR, and this professor said, ‘Pastor, don’t you want a candidate who embodies the teaching of Jesus and would govern this country according to the principles found in the Sermon on the Mount?’” Jeffress said. “I said, ‘Heck no.’ I would run from...
And i mean it even if it only a symbolism of the creation of man and not an actual story...
Endless of times i hear this story of the Tree of Knowledge Good and bad is GODs gift to humans.. because GOD gave us the wisdom and ability to learn ...
yet, the story itself , as truth or a symbolism, describes that GOD has made the garden of Eden, and made it full of trees with the exception of one special tree.. yet this tree unlike the others, was forbidden to be fed upon...
So basically GOD...
Only asking cause i really am intrigued about the subject...
So I really wonder if it is okay or not based on religious aspects to take your own life?
Now, if the answer is no.. Why not?
I Can assume that it got something to do with the fact that our body is not really ours to end and it is only up to god...
If so, How come its okay to take the life of someone else?
And of course not... I'm not talking about murder.. I'm talking about "Justified" murder...
Who claimed its...
Somebody's mad already.
We know that God is Creator, yes? The One who brings forth life. Woman is the only species who can bring forth life, therefore woman is God. Men cannot bring forth life, so God cannot be male.
Somebody's really mad now.
And it's probably a dude.
Well, historically, it was angry men who flipped the whole creation story and made God male, hence the answer to the popular question, "Did God create man or did man create God?" is "BOTH" because the men who changed...
There is no doubt when it comes to Hinduism, I am every bit of novice.
I do find Hindu religion to be confusing, especially of their gods or pantheon. So I would hope someone would explain to me.
As I understand it, or as I can I understand it, certain figure can be incarnation or avatar of a god. For example, Rama and Krishna are avatars of Vishnu. This seemed to be straightforward.
My problem is this:
From what I can gathered in this threads in this forum, is that there is only one god...
According to Jiddu Krishnamurti:
"When you say you love God what does it mean? It means that you love a projection of your own imagination, a projection of yourself clothed in certain forms of respectability according to what you think is noble and holy; so to say, 'I love God', is absolute nonsense. When you worship God you are worshipping yourself - and that is not love."
Do you think Krishnamurti has a point? Why or why not?
