Atheism ignores the why [of how we got here] and only looks at the how. They do not care if there is a why, how we got here is all that matters. For instance, there is no inherent meaning in the universe to the Atheist. (Am I right?)
I say maybe.
... if for no other reason than when we ask a question and have no information to help us come up with an answer, the default answer is always "maybe": it could be yes or no, but we don't have enough information yet to tell which.
So could God be impossible? The answer is yes... until someone gives a good reason to believe that God is possible.
Does anyone have such a reason?
Assuming that Jesus was a real man, is it possible to give a real world interpretation to his life and philosophy?
Central to that philosophy is saving us from sin.
What is meant by the term “sin”? Leaving aside any examples which require reference to God, let’s look at gluttony as an example. Gluttony is being selfish regarding food. If we look at other things which are considered “sinful”, they always come down to some form of selfishness. Even in the contentious matters which can’t be...

...to an event in your religion's history, which event would you go visit? Imagine you can only do it once and so only see one event, but you'd be able to interact with the people and so on.
Since Noahidism isn't its own religion and is tied to Judaism, I guess I'll have to pick a Jewish event. So I would like to visit that time where Elijah shows the worshippers of foreign gods who's boss. Those familiar with the scriptures know what I'm talking about!
This was a proposal submitted to the UN la few years back. The formulism site is now off line, but the formulism movement seems quite alive.
The resolution is being proposed by Antony Last, founder of formulism.org, a site which claims that freedom FROM religion would be of far greater benefit to mankind than freedom OF religion.

Why are some organized belief systems rooted in another belief system but they can't see that the branches are all rooted in One Tree, Tree of Life, the Axis Mundi?
Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
After this manner therefore pray you: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name.
I am aware that there is some controversy among the Abrahamics on this matter.
Many people consider the worship of Saints in some segments of Christianity to be a form of polytheism and therefore a deviation from supposedly necessary monotheism.
Some consider Trinitarianism itself a form of polytheism.
Islaam specifically seems to place a good deal of significance to keeping proper monotheism, to the point of insisting that politheism is automatically idolatry and, to the best of my...
What do you think?
Let's take same statistics first. According to Wikipedia the non-religious are no more than 17% of Earth's human populace (Martians are not included). At least Christians + Muslims make ~53%. Does that imply anything? I'm putting this just for the information here. I'm not going to participate for now.
What about the evolution of humanity? Did religion help or screw things up for it?
Looking forward to knowing your opinions and views in this. Thank you....
