A remote viewer is asked by police where a criminal will be a 9pm on a particular evening, the remote viewer says he will be in a particular restaurant eating dinner.
The police show up at the restaurant at 8:30pm and hide while they wait for him.
The criminal shows up and they arrest him, at 9pm the criminal is now in jail.
Was the remote viewer right or wrong?
The Watchtower teaches that there is no other name but Jehovah that is important. The only use for the name of Jesus is to get access to Jehovah. Jehovah's name is greater than the name of Jesus. But did the Apostle Paul believe that? Let's see,
Act 21:13 (NWT) 13 Then Paul answered: “What are you doing by weeping and trying to weaken my resolve?* Rest assured, I am ready not only to be bound but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”
Is that a blasphemous statement to...
... that we are all so reliant on the good will of others and end up corrupting each other when it is perceived as necessary for survival (or at least for some measure of security and confort)?
It's a little hard for me to understand that some Christians question the validity of evolution, of big bang and of other religions.
They want evidence that their God isn't real or that the bible is infallible.
All the while with firm belief that their bible is the absolute truth.
Rejecting evidence from carbon dating that believe a few civilizations to be over 10000 years old. Denying that dinosaurs and other lost species ever existed on this earth.
But at the same time asking more and more...
We have all heard it said that life begins at conception. Is that really true?
It seems to me that the life I have is exactly the same life that my mother and father had. It seems to me that the life in me has existed long before it embodied me.
This word, "life" that I am referring to here is best described as the quality that distinguishes a vital and functional being from a dead body or inanimate object, and not to be confused with other meanings of the word life which might include...
As I have been on here for sometime, I have noticed that many a percentage of people done like to be questioned.
1. I like to know what people are basing their ideas on. How do you feel?
2. If they are expressing their opinion to others I call that witnessing, and I believe you put yourself in a position to be questioned. Thoughts?
3. I Also Like To Know if Test HAVE Been run to Validate WHAT An individual Is teaching. Thoughts?
4. How do you handle interchange of faiths?
Peace be on all.
Holy Quran says:
[ch3:v65] Say, ‘O People of the Book! come to a word equal between us and you — that we worship none but Allah, and that we associate no partner with Him, and that some of us take not others for Lords beside Allah.’ But if they turn away, then say, ‘Bear witness that we have submitted to God.’
[2:63] Surely, the Believers, and the Jews, and the Christians and the Sabians — whichever party from among these truly believes in Allah and the Last Day and does...
Is every living entity a part of the supreme being?
Out of compassion for them, I, dwelling in their hearts, destroy with the shining lamp of knowledge the darkness born of ignorance.
-Bhagavad Gita 10:11
I am the Self, O Guḍākeśa, seated in the hearts of all creatures. I am the beginning, the middle and the end of all beings.
-Bhagavad Gita 10:20
But what need is there, Arjuna, for all this detailed knowledge? With a single fragment of Myself I pervade and support this entire universe....
The marriage of the Savior was taught more often in early church history, by leaders like President Brigham Young, George Q. Cannon, President Wilford Woodruff, Orson Pratt, Jedediah M. Grant, President Joseph F. Smith, and President Heber C. Kimball, to name just a few. In a General Conference address on October 6, 1854, Orson Hyde of the Quorum of the Twelve discussed the Savior’s wedding recounted in the Bible:
"…Jesus was the bridegroom at the marriage of Cana of Galilee, and he told...
This is a question for everyone who has a god including myself have to answer.
Why does your god or gods allow evil, suffering, and death?
Did this originate with gods initial plan?
Did god just create us and abandon us?
If our god(or gods)is good why are all these evil things still happening?
We can all criticize our texts and spit on other people's faith but does your own religion answer this difficult question?
The reasoning behind these questions Is basically being comfortable with...
