Humanity is, and always has been making moral progress. We are treating each other better than at any time in the past. Compare the moral code of today's world to say the Middle Ages.
Arrogance, probably driven by the need to feel superior to others, is the arch troublemaker within us all, varying in degree from mild to severe. When we look for a cause for a moral failing, arrogance should be our prime suspect.
Our religion is better than your religion!
Our nation is better than your...
Philosophy: the rational investigation of questions about existence and knowledge and ethics; the original meaning of the word philosophy comes from the Greek roots philo- meaning "love" and -sophos, or "wisdom." When someone studies philosophy they want to understand how and why people do certain things and how to live a good life. -- Vocabulary.com
The famous astrophysicist and the amateur philosopher the "false atheist" Stephen Hawking has written in his famous book "Grand Design":...
Humans don't know much. You know this much. To know more, a human must investigate, rather than simply offer up opinions, theorize, and imagine.
Many say that nobody can know certain things. They say this because they, themselves, don't know certain things.
Spiritual Enlightenment transcends being human as humans know being human.
It is the means by which a human becomes superhuman.
The approach to Godhood, while still in physical form.
Would you like to know what Enlightenment is?...
This post is intended to address a subject which has been argued a number of times. I have read some and briefly engaged some of those who reject the deity of Christ because they say that the Bible does not state the words “Jesus is God”. I believe this argument is fallacious, violating the word-concept fallacy. Also it demonstrates a presupposed bias when so many Scriptures identify Christ as divine, attributing to Him many of the divine names given to God. I do not intend to deal with the...
DNA consists of bio-photons photons are light, therefore our DNA is made up of light and weighs 0.1 grams, the other part of our soul is the plasma running in our blood and in other parts of our body. Hence why vampires drink other peoples souls through their blood. The pineal gland in your brain pumps dopamine or a type of plasma around your brain to keep it functioning. Your brains DNA changes kept alive by dopamine going to your brain, helps stimulate soul growth. Every single thought you...
The Abrahamic religions were created by men who probably saw themselves as shepherds, and shepherds need sheep -- and they're adept at flock-building. By indoctrinating young minds generation after generation, they built a huge flock of followers. But what did they have to offer them?
They taught them of a god that offers conditional love -- I will love you if you please me -- which isn't love at all. The founders of these very popular religions simply didn't understand that genuine love is...
As an avid atheist and to the greater degree anti-theist I have been trying for over a year to come to grips with what I believe and stand for. So many atheists prattle about reason and logic while even when I was a Muslim I did the exact same thing although with less intellectual contradictions. The more I speak to atheists and try to understand things that are valued to us like science and pragmaticism I find myself incapable of rationalizing my own atheism.
When I was a Muslim the...
When Gentiles read the New Testament, what do you think of parts such as Jesus and the Gentile Woman (where Jesus was not inclined to help the woman because she was not Jewish) and Paul's letter to the Romans where he reminds Gentiles that they are a branch of a wild olive tree, and the Jews are a branch of God's holy olive tree, but because the Jew's weren't getting it, God cut off the Jewish branch and grafted the Gentile branch in place, until all the Gentiles accept God, wherein...
