This is a comment that so many people use saying that the Bible is, indeed, mythical stories. And yet I find it so interesting, as archeological discoveries continue, that it continues to validate what was written.
At what point does one accept, after validating documentation appears again and again, does on finally accept it as historical?
Here is the latest one that has been discovered validating the works of King Hezekiah who lived around 700 BC....
The Absolute Oneness of God
Isaiah says that, absolutely, God cannot be compared with anyone or anything, as we read Isaiah 46:5. "To whom will ye liken Me, and make Me equal to , or compare Me with, that we may be alike?"
Therefore, more than one God would have been unable to produce the world; one would have impeded the work of the other, unless this could be avoided by a suitable division of labor.
More than one Divine Being would have one element in common, and would differ in...
This thread is to discuss what being a Christian is all about. I think that I have found some fundamentals that all Christians can agree on. This also includes what to expect as Christians.
Being a Christian includes:
1. Bible based prayer ( prayer defined as what the scriptures say is acceptable) Matthew 6:9-13; Philippians 4:6; 1 Peter 5:6,7
2. Read and contemplate on YHWH's word (Deuteronomy 6:17, Joshua 1:8, Psalms 1:2,3; Isaiah 48:17,18; Matthew 4:4 here Jesus quotes from Deuteronomy,...
Just a few thoughts on the faith in God.....

So if we live our life believing in God and in the end we will find our that there is no afterlife, we will not care because we will cease to...
If I am special and have value as a human being, that creates a major conflict for me. This conflict would be that for such a special and valuable person as myself to just forever rot and decay away would be the greatest insult to my value and specialness as a human being.
It would be utterly demeaning of my value and specialness. It would be just tossing me away like trash. So in order to resolve this conflict, I would have to deem myself as nothing special at all and of no value....
There is a great movie, "The invention of lying" starring Ricky Gervais (who also is one of the writers)
The movie presents an amazing insight about how religion was invented...
The movie might make some theists angry, But I'd really love to hear Theist who saw that movie give their word about it.
The movie in a nut shell presents a world where everyone must say the truth.. they cannot say anything else, excluding one man.
In a moment of weakness, when he's mother is dying and...
I had went into some inebriated spamming last night trying to procure laughter. I had been in an inconceivably horrifying trip for the last few weeks. I wanted things to be funny as well as imply other lessons like trying to maintain a positive spiritual balance and remembering your inner-child, the adults got upset. So then kill your inner child, this is real life, not cartoons. Some kids were victims of parental abuse or worse so their inner-child is sort of screwed up.
I shot mine,...
