Forgive AND Forget?
Grandma spoke as if you can forgive.....but you won't forget.
say otherwise? -
"Why is murder wrong?"
I saw this recently and it was just an amazing argument better articulated than I could of ever done it, although I've tried before.

YHWH allows abortions in some cases
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Numbers+5:11-31
So uh... ya.
If someone is Jewish or Christian, and is against abortions in the case of ******* children... they are contradicting the Bible and their god lol.
I really wish I could put this somewhere else, since I don't think it's really up for debate as it clearly states that the priest gives her a substance that is supposed to induce miscarriage if she was unfaithful.
You know, that thing called an abortion.
But... -
Downfall of humanity
When Im not depressed, I love to be human. I love to learn and find things I have not now know. I love to ponder the experiences of my faith and ask questions of that other others. I love me.
Yet, in many religions such as Buddhism to christianity has a downward look on humanity. Why is that?
We are illusioned
We are sinful
We are just mere mortals
We are limited in our understanding of the cosmos
We are lower than god
We are not enlightened
These are example phrases expounded in... -
are the Koran the word of God????Call for dialogue
Muslims say that the Koran is the word of God ??
But the evidence and the mind rejects this claim
There is abundant evidence that it is writing Mohammed
An open invitation to dialogue
And the first evidence that it is not the Word of God
Koran where many historical and linguistic mistakes
Does God makes a mistake in his book
Historical mistakes
He did not know the difference between Christ and Mary, the mother of Mary, the sister of Aaron -
A rock and a hard place
Matthew 24:26
The Jehovah's Witnesses say that they have been chosen by God to teach the truth about God to the world.
They say they are the only way to learn the truth about God.
They say Christ is the head of their organization.
If Christ is the head of their organization then he is with them to lead them and Christians should give heed to them.
But if we do, are we not ignoring the warning, "So if anyone tells you....... or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it." -
Which Son?
Was Abraham going to sacrifice, Isaac or Ishmael?
Imo it's pretty clear cut for me that it was Isaac, the OT and the NT agree. The Qur'an never actually names the son, though contemporary Muslims believe it was Ishmael. I say "contemporary" because within historic Islam the issue was not as clear cut and some Muslims were arguing pro-Isaac.
Who was it? -
The Inerrant Bible???
First off, let's define the term "inerrant" for the duration of this discussion: free from error.
Source - http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/inerrant
Next let's define who wrote the Bible, regardless of translation: humans.
Given that humans do make mistakes quite often, it is safe to assume that the biblical authors included errors within their writings. A quick Google search for "biblical contradictions" will present numerous entries. Why then do people insist on an... -
Inhabited Planets
We know that there are billions of stars in our galaxy, the Milky Way. Those stars can each have several planets in orbit around them.
We know that there are billions of galaxies in the visible universe.
Using those two facts, let's estimate that there are at least 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 planets in the universe. Of those let's say only .000001% can contain life. That leaves a (conservative) estimate of 1,000,000,000,000 (one trillion) potential alien civilizations.
Yet our little mud... -
Finally! More Young Americans Accept Evolution than Believe in Creationism...
For the first time, more young Americans accept evolution than believe in creationism. Older people, however, still believe in some form of creationism by a wide margin.
There’s been a long-standing divide between Americans who believe in evolution, and those who think God created humans just as they are. But a recent poll has shown that 51 percent of American adults under the age of 30 now claim to believe purely in secular evolution, which means evolution independent of any divine power –...
