No Chess in islam.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world...audi-arabia-grand-mufti/ar-BBowhI1?li=BBnbcA1
Saudi Arabia’s grand mufti has ruled that chess is forbidden in Islam, saying it encourages gambling and is a waste of time.
Do you think this is excessive fanaticism? or do you support this? -
I'm pretty sure there's no god now
Normally, I just consider myself non-religious, and my stance on there being a god is the same as the likes of the Tooth Fairy, leprechauns, ghosts etc... There's a lack of evidence, therefore, I simply have a lack of belief. But now after watching this video, I'm thinking to myself "Nope! No way there can be a god. He's just not there!" because this is just effed up! My stance on god goes from simply being a lack of belief, to pretty much disbelief!
The video is raw footage of crocodiles... -
Heart of the matter
I believe that at the core of all religions is the same message. Peace and Love to all. Which, to me, is a very simple message and one that I try and live my life by.
Do you think that this is true or are religions different in their values towards human life ? -
The Ancient Aryan Split
I accept that the Mazdayasnian religion (Zoroastrianism) and the Vedic religion(s) (broadly, Hinduism), stem from a common Indo-Aryan core. Avestan and Sanskrit are clearly related (Ahura/Asura, Daeva/Deva, Mazda/Medha, Asha/Rita etc). While attempts at reconstructing the ancient Aryan beliefs have not been as successful as, say, Roman Pagan reconstruction, we do find some general themes. For instance, there was a war; the worshippers of the Ahuras/Asuras and the Daevas/Devas split.

What Do We Owe God?
Assuming there is a god he doesn't guarantee that he will protect us if we are nice and do what he says.He doesn't guarantee he will give us food , protection , shelter etc and we are responsible for ourselves.Basically we ourselves provide everything to ourselves and deserve all the credit.Even if we assuime god created this game we call life still we are playing the game with our own willpower and he gave most people mostly suffering. So what do we owe to the god? Why? -

would you worship an evil god if you were 100% sure of his existence?
suppose you're 100% sure there's a god, an allmighty god, that created the universe and all the rest, and this god asks you to kill, rape, torture and plunder in his name.
if you worship him he will send you in heaven where all sort of good things happens to you.
if you refuse to worship him he will send you in hell where eternal pain and torture awaits you.
would you worship him? -
Only what i think/know/believe is right but every others who disagree with me, is wrong?
Do your beliefs or non-beliefs in god(s) have the stance of "only what i think/know/believe is right but every others who disagree with me, is wrong" ?
Is that reasonable to have such stance?
Under what situation it's reasonable and unreasonable? -
