By the way I am not here teaching anything. A teacher expect his or her students to understand. I know that there are only a few people that can understand the true message of Jesus Christ our Lord and God.
(Matthew 7:13-14) “Enter by the narrow gate since the road that leads to perdition is wide and spacious, and many take it; but it is a narrow gate and a hard road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
(Matthew 20:16) “So the last shall be first and the first last: for many be...
I have here a collection of questions for only those who believe in the below five concepts should answer.
1) Believers in conscious eternal punishment.
2) Believers in "Hell", (Luk 16:24) (Mat 5:29) "Hell" in this passage refers to (γέεννα) (Gehenna) and not "Hell" as in Sheol or Hades (the grave or place of the dead).
3) Believers in Lucifer as an angel created by God.
4) An eternal Lake of Fire which is also conscious eternal punishment.
5) That God is Omniscient (all seeing/knowing)...
"Spotlight", a major motion picture depicting child-sexual abuse in the Roman Catholic Church, is one of the biggest movies of the year, and the reviews are phenomenal. Do you think this is a good thing that this is being publicized and shown to the world in this cinematic way? Has anyone seen it yet?
There is a problem faced by every theory of God as someone who created the entire universe out of nothing and who is the source of all laws and principles of nature and existence.
The problem this kind of formulation brings up is that if God is the source of everything then there is no rational justification for calling Him good or righteous.
Generally if you're going to call someone good or righteous it is because there is a particular standard of behavior (which transcends them) to which...
JW's pride themselves for being the only ones who make God's Name known, being witnesses for Jehovah. Which, I admire in them. Not the pride and boasting, but the fire they have for doing what they honestly believe they should be doing.
My question is this: If they/we are truly supposed to have the "WORK OF BEARING WITNESSES CONCERNING JEHOVAH", why does the dragon in Revelation 12:17 wage war on the ones, "who observe the commandments of God and "HAVE THE WORK OF BEARING WITNESS CONCERNING...
I feel like that some people mix these two up. Why would someone dismiss something because it's just a legend, as if to assume it's a fantasy? We know what's fantasy like in fiction but legend isn't fantasy. Legends are legend? They are debatable while fantasy isn't debatable. And there is always some truth in legends. Otherwise they wouldn't be legends in the first place.Like with Jesus or with the Golem or other certain legendary creatures which could have existed. I think that not having...
Recently, the grand mufti of Al-Azhar, the highest and most authoritative religious institution in Egypt, has issued a fatwa stating that he cannot declare Daesh non-Muslims. He has received a flurry of criticism and colorful comments due to his refusal to state that Daesh are outside the fold of Islam.
What came to mind amid reading and hearing this torrent of criticism, however, was a mixture of confusion and sympathy—yes, you read that right: sympathy. The declaration of Daesh as...
I've been away from the forums for some time and in that time I've been doing a lot of thinking, reading, research and general contemplation on who I think God is, what I believe and why. It has led me to move away from Christianity as a whole (I've come to the conclusion that any link I have to it is purely cultural rather than it being a source of any sort of faith), away from Islam (another religion I'd considered but found to have many issues with) and several other religious paths....
