DawudTalut
Peace be upon you.
Waqfe Nau is the scheme in Jama'at Ahmadiyya, in which, parents devote their children before birth, for future service of Faith. Personal validations are required by children after they grow up. They are reminded what and how they should study from beginning, which qualities in morals and spirituality they should possess……What are responsibilities of their parents all along.
======================
Peace and mercy of Allah be on you…….Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah V (may Allah be his Helper) said that By the grace of Allah the Exalted , the trend to dedicate children in the Jama'at is rising. Daily 20-25 requests from parents come for acceptance of their yet to be born baby in the scheme of Waqfe Nau . The scheme was started and later made permanent by Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah IV (may Allah have mercy on him). It has reached near 61000, from 28000+ since last 12/13 years.
==
The secular and religious education of an Ahmadi child is duty of parents, along with training.
The responsibilities of the parents of Waqfe Nau children increase after they present their children. These are trust of Jama'at with them. They should be well educated in secular and religious knowledge, and given training before handing over to Jama'at for the best of Jama'at and society…..These parents make pledge whatever will be born, boy or a girl, they will present it for Allah, His religion, for the completion of the mission of the true servant of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) ---- It is the mission of the completion of the propagation of the guidance, the spreading of the true Islamic teaching in the world, the drawing of attention of the every person in world toward fulfilling the right of God and the spreading of the Islamic education of fulfilling the mutual rights.
==
Thus, this is not ordinary responsibility assumed by the parents of waqfe nau children, especially mothers as they write to the Khalifa of the time that they are presenting their child before his/her birth into the Waqfe Nau scheme with a pledge to Allah the Exalted like the mother of Hazrat Maryam (Mary) :
[3:36] "My Lord, I have vowed to Thee what is in my womb to be dedicated to Thy service. So, do accept it of me; verily, Thou alone art All-Hearing, All Knowing."
That O' my Lord, whatever is in my womb, I am presenting it for you. I do not know what it is, a boy or a girl, but whatever it is, it is my wish and I pray that it becomes the servant of the Faith. Accept this wish of mine. You are All Hearing and All Knowing, so accept this humble prayer of mine as well. You know that this prayer is the voice of my heart.
This is the longing of Ahmadi mothers when she pledges her child for Waqfe Nau and the father is also included in it.
The child is presented to the Waqfe Nau scheme with the agreement of both, mother and father.
==
Allah the Exalted did not preserve the above mentioned prayer as olden story in the Holy Quran. He liked this prayer so much that He preserved it for the future mothers also, so as to make their children doers of extraordinary sacrifices for the Faith with this prayer.
Though a believer pledges to give priority to Faith over worldly matters, but Waqefeen / Life-devotees should go to its ultimate limits. Their parents, along with prayers, have to instill in their minds from childhood they have to serve Faith….Then they will not grow up with thoughts that we have to become a businessman or a player, or to go into a certain field. Instead, they will ask the question that I am Waqfe Nau and the Jama'at or the Khalifa of time tell me what field I should enter. Now I have nothing to do with the world. The pledge which my mother undertook before my birth, the prayers that she said before my birth, and trained me in such a way that i should pursue faith instead of the material world. I am fortunate that Allah the Exalted listened to the prayers of my mother and brought her efforts for my training to fruition. Now, I, without any worldly greed and wish, dedicate myself for Deen and only Deen.
==
Waqfeen Nau children [dedicators new: children who are part of Waqfe Nau scheme] will have to renew their pledge at age 15…..Then, at age 20 /21, those who have not joined Jamia [Jama'at-s religious institution for making missionaries], when they have completed education they shall have to rewrite bond……….And if anyone is asked to get training in some field, then he should write it again.
Thus, at all stages, according to his heartfelt wish, the Waqfe Nau should express to continue his Waqf.
==
Waqfe Nau child should not think how they shall survive materially. Or how they will serve their parents monetarily physically. The very rise of this question means the parents did not put in the hearts of the Waqfe Nau children that parentsy have dedicated them and now they are only a trust of Jama'at with parents, siblings will serve in their place……. These youth have only to present themselves to the Khalifa of the time and go according to his directions. In the prayer of Hazrat Maryam's mother, the word “moharraran” [to be dedicated] is used, it means (she prayed) I have completely separated this child from worldly responsibilities and I pray that purely the religious responsibility should become its priority.
==
Parents should know that just the name Waqfe Nau is not enough, rather it is an important responsibility, until Waqfe Nau becomes an adult and thereafter it becomes his own responsibility.
Some boys and girls, who have got secular education, apparently show great enthusiasm and present their services. Later on, leave because they cannot survive with the allowance that the Jama'at pays them………For a larger objective is to be achieved, you have to sacrifice and bear hardship. …….. Instead, they compare their earning with their worldly class fellows, they should think that the status God has given them is a lot better than the worldly riches………Keep in view the saying of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) that we should look at the one who is financially lower than us and look at the one who is spiritually higher than us so that we strive to go further in the spiritual progress rather than in the material progress………Therefore, the Waqfe Nau boys, especially who have completed their education, should try to improve their spiritual condition rather than the outward and material condition.
Hazrat Promised Messiah (may peace be on him), expects from every Ahmadi to have an extremely high status. The person whose parents dedicated him for religion before birth and prayed for him as well, how much he should try to reach those standards!
==
Hazrat Promised Messiah (peace be on him) says: "I consider it my duty that I make a will for my Jama'at and send this message out... in future all have the right to accept it or not, that if one wants deliverance and wants a pious and eternal life, then, he should dedicate his life for Allah the Exalted. And everyone should be engaged in this endeavor and thought to achieve such a status and rank whereby he can say that my life, my death, my sacrifices, and my Prayers are indeed for Allah. And like Abraham, his soul should say: “aslamto lerabbil aalameen” [2:from132 : I have submitted to the Lord of the worlds] that I have become obedient to my Lord”………… "Until a man is not lost in God, and doesn't die belonging to God, he cannot get a new life. Therefore, you that have relationship with me, you see that I consider the dedication of life for God to be the essence and purpose of my life………. Then see in yourselves that how many of you like this act of mine for your selves and endear the dedication of life for God."
==
Thus, Waqefeen Nau should make effort to get this station by rising above the common Ahmadi. Others too do the Waqf [dedication] for Deen.
And everybody cannot do the Waqf. Allah the Exalted has also said there should be a group among you, who should attain religious knowledge and then go and tell their people. People are entangled in the worldly matters.
But Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) said that too, that fear of God and deen should be given priority while doing the worldly chores.
==
Waqefeen Nau should always consider them humblest person and improve the standards of sacrifice, prayers and faithfulness. They should employ all their capabilities and capacities to fulfill their parents' and their own pledges. Try to work to hold the faith high. Then Allah the Exalted blesses and He leaves none without rewarding.
Hazrat Promised Messiah (may peace be on him) says about fulfilling pledges with faithfulness: “God the Exalted, in Noble Quran, that is why, has praised Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be on him). As He says: wa ibrahimallazi waffa [53:38 - And of Abraham who fulfilled the commandments.] …that the pledge he made, he fulfilled it.”
Therefore, fulfillment of pledges is not an ordinary thing.
If every Waqfe Nau boy and girl fulfills there pledge faithfully, we can bring a revolution in this world…..To be a Waqfe Nau is praiseworthy thing; but it will be beneficial to the Jama'at in reality only if they fulfill their pledges faithfully.
