they found ice and in the sots that reflect red. They photoed blue skies believed to be caused by tholins in the atmosphere. An experiment with tholins created amino acids.

Really, who cares if Plato has water or not, , what the hell is it going to change ?.

if water is common in our solar system (and that is a reflection of the chemical make-up of the rest of the universe), it means the one of the compenents of (earth-like) life forms may also be common.

if you read the link, it also mentions that Pluto has blue skies. it means that somewhere out there is a little bit more earth like.

Really, who cares if Plato has water or not, , what the hell is it going to change ?.

our understand of the solar system and universe. Possibly even the formation of life. It may be an important factor in other discoveries.

Pluto’s atmosphere is much too thin to actually fill in with scattered light. But at sunset and sunrise -- which, on Pluto, are about 3.2 Earth-days apart -- you might see the horizon illuminated by a lovely blue glow," which makes more sense considering how the image was shot.
