Prayer to God is real when it leads to peace for humanity…. Recently Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah V (may Allah be his Helper) inaugurated a new mosque in Regina, Canada, and delivered Friday Sermon from it. Local members bore the cost with financial sacrifices and volunteer work. A Mosque is House of Lord, it is mercy for people. It is place for training and to convey peaceful divine message to the world -- a world which is inclining to materialism. Responsibilities attached with mosque have far-reaching results -- from peace in worldly life to success in hereafter.

Holy Quran [ch9:v18] He alone can keep the Mosques of Allah in a good and flourishing condition who believes in Allah, the Last Day, and observe Salaat, and pays the Zakat, and fears none but Allah; so these it is who may be among those who reach the goal.
Alhamdolillah, He enabled Jama'at Ahmadiyya Regina to make their mosque. Masha-Allah it is a very beautiful mosque. More than 500 people can offer Salaat in its main halls and other areas. Currently, 160 Ahmadis live in area. Local Jama'at will bear the expenses; 2 members (including widow of a martyr) will bear 1/3 of expenses.

The cost regarding the lowest tender was 2.8 million dollars. With more expenses, it was to become 3.5 million dollars……….But after the completion final expenses stood 1.6 million dollars.

A worldly person will be very much surprised at this……. Allah the Exalted gives opportunities to worldwide members of Jama'at of Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) to offer sacrifices of life, wealth and time. They prefer Allah’s happiness and pleasure as aim of life.

The saved money was due to efforts of three brothers who are in construction business. They were helped by another contractor who came here after finishing his work in Toronto. All work was done by team comprised of them and members [Khuddam , Ansar] from Saskatoon, Edmonton and Toronto. However, some little work was from external sources.
Financial sacrifice was also given by ladies’ auxiliary and their food-cooking for teams.
Hours invested in work were 41500. Some people worked 24/7. This zeal is evident in worldwide Ahmadis.

While others are busy spreading mayhem in world, Ahmadi Muslims are offering sacrifices to make mosques in such developed countries. ……..They are doing so because Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said whoever builds Allah’s house actually makes his/her house in Paradise…..They are doing so because the obedient servant of Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) taught his followers to build mosques to convey the peaceful message and beautiful teaching of Islam to the world.

Thus, Ahmadis make mosques with sacrifices:
(i) to gain pleasure of Allah the Exalted,
(ii) to eliminate the wrong impression about teaching of Islam from the minds of people,
(iii) to tell the world that true teachings of Islam do not express hatred, mayhem or turmoil, rather these are source of benevolence for this life and for Hereafter and
(iv) to crate love of Allah the Exalted and love for His creation in the hearts of people.

Making this mosque, Canada’s Jama'at Ahmadiyya has the first time honor that they worked to save money. May Allah the Exalted grant best reward to men and women who sacrificed wealth and time.

Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah V (may Allah be his Helper) further mentioned that mosques are very important to teach ourselves, and to convey message to Allah. He has asked Ameer Sahib to make more small mosques everywhere through similar volunteer works.
Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) said: “At this time our Jama'at is in great need of mosques. It is the House of God. In whichever city or village, our the mosque of our Jama'at is built, consider foundation is laid for the development of Jama'at. If there is a village or city where there are few Muslims or none and progress of Islam has to be made there then a mosque should be built. Then God Himself will attract and bring Muslims. But the condition is that intention should be with sincerity in establishing mosque. It should be done only for the sake of Allah. There should be absolutely no entry of selfish purpose or other evil, then God will give blessing.”
Thus we should work hard to fulfill the wish of Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.). There should be fidelity and sincerity rather than temporary zeal, show off the building and architecture or show off of sacrifice of money or time….. Mosque should be made for the sake of Allah the Exalted.

Allah always reward for the good work – at the same moment or latter…..The above mentioned fourth contractor is happy as he received more contracts…..Another person left work as he got admission in a university but then he had a dream that contractor needed him so he contacted and began to serve. His wife said there was no money to run home. Very soon Balmain Tax Credit returned money saying it was extra. Later money came from Child Benefit Department…… They received about 13000 or 14000 dollars.
All what is needed is pure and honest intention and Allah blesses in return.

Huzur (a.t.) recalled that when he was serving in Ghana, Africa before his Khilafat, there used to be a small mosque in Tamale city, made of blocks. Later it was cemented…..After Khilafat when he visited the place he saw very big 2 storey mosque built there. [it would be 3 times than this mosque]. There were offices too with it… An Ahmadi paid the expenses of the mosque in Tamale over 3 to 4 years.
People might think, adverse economic condition in Africa might have made them greedy. But whenever they have money they set such high standards of sacrifice.
This sacrificial attitude of Ahmadis in making mosques is found everywhere.

Ahmadis cannot make mosque, its dome and minaret in a Asian Country. Even Mehrab (niche marking Qibla direction) is not allowed. At some places building cannot be made Qibla direction……..But Allah the Exalted is blessing Jama'at out that Country with unimaginable abundance… We are thankful to our Lord.

Today residents of this place should be thankful to Allah the Exalted for His immense favour, as He provided them a mosque for praying. It is His House He has not made for Himself, it is a blessing for come to it.

The way to thank Allah the Exalted for the blessing is taught in verse mentioned in the beginning:
[9:18]“He alone can keep the Mosques of Allah in a good and flourishing condition who believes in Allah, and the Last Day, and observes Prayer, and pays the Zakat, and fears none but Allah; so these it is who may be among those who reach the goal.”
Explanation:
-----So the belief in Allah the Exalted and in the Day of Judgment is essential to be a Muslim and Momin (true believer).
-----To offer Salaat means to offer it 5 times a day, in congregation….Many has to pay attention to it.
-----To give Zakaat: It is to sacrifice wealth in the way of Allah the Exalted for purification…..It is compulsory on all wealthy men and women having money in banks or with them or have gold or silver or dairy forms…..It is calculated amount designated by Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) since his time…….Women should consider it especially, as coming to these countries made them well off and to own lot of gold……Directive also include all financial sacrifices to convey Deen of god the Exalted and related works such as fulfilling rights of people……Now, by the grace of Allah the Exalted, it is only Jama'at Ahmadiyya that spends in propagation of Deen, it includes building mosques, mission houses, system of Muballegheen, schools and hospitals.
-----Next commandment is that you should not be afraid of any one except the Being of God the Exalted. If fear of God remain present in human he can avoid many evils, evils on the name of freedom in these countries. The development of fear of God the Exalted is very essential. This fear is Tawqa indeed. And, about Taqwa, there are many verses which carry various directives for us, in Holy Quran.

If one follows these commands then one can be among the righteous near Allah the Exalted, and can be fulfiller of the purpose of populating mosque.
These acts, and having this Eman and to be strong in Eman is what which fulfills the purpose of building mosque. This is what which makes one thankful to God the Exalted.

Otherwise only being happy we made a mosque and came rarely to offer Salaat, and having to have more fear of people than Allah the Exalted, greed of world and its priority make forget Deen and its responsibilities, then such people may have earned temporary good but they will go away from permanent blessings of Allah the Exalted…….Thus He says the true population of mosques is from people who are strong by way of belief, and keep progressing practice-wise.

Firstly, it is duty of office bearers to keep mosques populated by their presence. They and each member should make this mosque feel smaller to get continuous blessing from presented sacrifice of wealth and time…..More worshipers and more members are needed for this.

To thank Allah the Exalted, it is very essential to convey the Ahmadiyya message to everyone living here. It is their right to help come of all ills. It is our duty to tell people about their Creator. Majority of people are lost in worldly developments and are unaware of dark ending. It is responsibility of members of Jama'at to lead to the path with bright ending. Tell them worldly sparkle is for limited time, but lights of good hereafter will shine forever. This is gained by:
---worshipping Allah the Exalted.
---being more mindful about hereafter than worldly matters.
---not only raising slogans ‘love for all hatred for none’ but fulfilling mutual rights.
---raising qualities of worships.
---having love for Allah and His Creation by our each act and word.
