Health, Voice, Handbills, Modern Media .. For Effective Delivery of Message

DawudTalut

Peace be upon you.
Peace be on you…To keep health and body active to serve faith, Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) was extremely hard working, and would not avoid toil despite being enthusiast of seclusion. Many a times it happened that whenever he had to go on a journey, he would send horse for ride ahead by the servant and he would walk on foot and cover the journey of 20 / 25 mile to reach the destination. Most of time, he would walk, and rarely rode a ride. This habit of him of walking on foot remained till last years --- Narrates Hazrat Musleh Mo'ud (may Allah be pleased with him)---He (a.s.) often would daily go out for fresh air for 4 - 5 miles (sometimes 7) even at age 70 plus with some strong ailments….Before old age, sometimes he (a.s.) would walk before Fajr Salaat and reach Wadala (a village near Batala, 5.5 miles from Qadian) by Fajr Salaat.

Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah V (a.t.) infers that it is model for us, especially for life-devotees, to whom service of Jama'at is assigned. Among them Murrabbiyan is at first place. They should make regular habit for walk to maintain their health and to make tough body. If they cannot walk due to constraint of time or any other reason, they should find some time for exercise. Body appearance of some young Murrabiyan imply they do not do exercise. The great duties assigned to our Muballaygheen and Murabbiyan, require that they should pay specific attention to do exercise. Unhealthy and junk food should be avoided….They should also know some cooking…. Huzur (a.t.) said: I am not only advising Jama'at members I exercise regularly on the exercise cycle/other machines by the grace of Allah the Exalted and He is enabling so far. Anyways, we need healthy life-devotees and murabbiyans.

Missionaries should practice speaking in a loud clear manner which is required when they go out to field for conveying message. The sound systems are not available mostly in the underdeveloped countries.

Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) normally used to speak very softy but when it was needed to tell the world about teachings of Islam how he would speak, it is described by Hazrat Musleh Maud (r.a.) that when Hazrat Promised Messiah (peace be on him) stood up to deliver his lecture in Lahore in the biggest hall which was full of people and there was so much crowd that the doors had to be kept open, and canopies were fixed outside. That space too was filled with listeners. In the begining according to routine, his voice was somewhat low and soft. Some people made some noise as well but later on when he was speaking it appeared that a bugle is being played from the heavens and the people were sitting astonished.

For the service of Deen, sometimes voice has to be raised. Those who are assigned this duty, they should pay special attention.

What means should be used for conveying message and how it should be done?

At the time of the Hazrat Promised Messiah ( peace be on him), conveying message was conducted through the 2 to 4 pages long hand bills too. They used to make a lot of commotion in the entire country. They were published in large numbers and according to those times 'large numbers' refer to a total of 1000 to 2000 copies. At times a total of 10,000 hand bills were also published.

Now by the grace of Allah the Exalted, at some places information reaches in millions and this has its impacts on other countries as well. There was information from America that a news agency / TV in Sweden has contacted our representative there to have information about Islam. Allah knows. They want to interview Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah V (a.t.). Attention is being developed. During his tour, message reached to millions……… Thus through the hand bills, news / press and the media our message vastly reaches which cannot be conveyed by usual literature.

In today's world, by the grace of Allah, the Jama'at is being introduced through many newspapers. The press and media department of the Jama'at is also playing a very important role in this regard throughout the world. So it is the duty of the conveying-message department to fully use this introduction to convey the real message of Islam to the people. …. And for this purpose new ways and methods shoul be adopted.
