For every nation, God has a plan. He has revealed, to an extent, what that plan is for Australia.
In order to make Australia great, atonement must be made for the 'original sin' upon which the nation was founded: the illegal seizure of sovereignty over the land from Indigenous People. Sovereignty was never ceded.
The Indigenous People have a creation myth involving the serpent: when the very first people arrived on the continent, the serpent was with them, and helped them to carve out Australia's unique landscape.
Australia's atonement will necessarily involve a kind of reconciliation with the serpent. The specifics of this aren't clear, but some things are.
The most certain of these is this: God will create a great freshwater lake, an inland sea, making the enormous Australian interior desert a fertile lake brimming with life. This will revolutionise the economy. The lake will be inherited by the Indigenous People, thus making atonement.
