I'm pretty sure the fact that he attacked disabled people had something to do with the death toll. If he was using a gun, especially a semi-automatic rifle, the death toll most likely would've been much higher.

This is not new. What's new is that it is now possible for us to know about these events as they happen.
We've always been collectively horrible, it just took the modern era for us to be able to see it.
Really at this point he's just a disappointing murderer. A bunch of cripples, sleeping cripples...and he just got 15 or so of them? Were you even trying!?

The murder rate in Japan is so low (one of the world's lowest - even tiny Lichtenstein has a higher murder rate) that they don't need guns. Even with the Yakuza, Japan is considered one of the safest nations on the planet. Why would they ever want to start allowing something that has the sole purpose of maiming and killing?

You are right..."attempts" to follow the teachings of a god have led to major humanitarian catastrophes which appear to consume much of our news of late.
Conversely, those who follow no god at all are just as guilty of heinous crimes against humanity. It is human beings who are doing this, not God, not really religion. Its a shield to hide behind is all

We are being groomed for the implementation of a global solution to this awful problem.....humanity is crying out for something to be done to solve this dilemma and return some normality and peace to our lives, but the solution offered, though appearing to sound good on paper, will only be a global dictatorship in disguise. It will promise freedom, but introduce a rule of law with strict enforcement and a loss of all freedoms.
This is all in the Bible book of Revelation....in case you don't know.

Still I am Christian and firmly believe that IF all Christians who read the SAME book
would act the SAME way and follow Jesus this world would be a better place.
But toss in the Racial Muslims, Radical Christians and other Radical what ever
and religion becomes a recipe for disaster.

Please I'm not bashing Islam but Radical Islam seems a bit on the cranky side.
There are about 2.08 Billion Muslims in the world according to 2014 stats.
Fortunately only about 15% are recognized as "radical", that is prone to
violence against non Muslims.
