“he says: "It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth." (Isaiah 49:6)

According to Jewish scripture the Jews are chosen for a purpose. God will make them into a beacon to illuminate the path to God for non-Jews. God has given them the responsibility to set an example for the rest of the world. This path must be followed by all mankind, not the path to Judaism but the path to peace. “Proselytizing” normally has a doctrine, but peace has no doctrine. How does one indoctrinate another to peace?

You won’t find Jews on the local street corner passing out Bibles and fresh baked Challah but it is still “Proselytizing”. There vey existence is to bring God’s kingdom on Earth.

And that is the ultimate tragedy, that those who care not about the world lay claim to laws that rightfully belong to all of humanity
