Do we live in two intertwining dream worlds ? Some view the physical realm as the 'real' world and the sleeping(dream) realm as the lesser of the two.

My current opinion is that both realms are important. I often look forward to my rest periods and to see what unfolds. But the strange thing is I am not remembering my dreams, although of late I have began to recall bits and pieces of my dream experience.

I do need to be present when I leave my bed because I am guilty of sleepwalking my way through my waking hours. If I do this then I think I will remember more from my sleeping dream world.

A final few words on the content of my sleeping dream world is that my dreams tend to be boring ! My wife has amazingly vivid and exciting dreams where she encounters aliens, vampires and other worldly beings ! I often have to wake her up because she is in distress, I do this gently and am well practised at waking her up safely.

i look forward to hearing from you and maybe we can make this a lively thread !

Blessings to you all.

PS A few years ago I dreamt of being abducted by what appeared to be an alien type craft, but when I became more aware of the dream I found myself in a military type hospital setting. This could have been a MILABS - Military Abductions.

Other keywords are screen dream and lucid dreams.

Further question: Have you dreamt of your departed loved ones ? Includes pets.

Imo, you need a airy place for sleep and eat night meal well before sleep time and no coffee etc in late evening, to avoid stomach pressure.
The world of dream is true it has purpose.

Thank you my friend. I shall read the included link after I have been to bed ! I go bed when the birds begin to sing due to my health problems !
I also think that our sleep world is as 'real' as the waking world, and sometimes it is a place of inspiration. I have met the essence who played the role of my father(he left his physical vehicle 15 years ago) a number of times, which I truly appreciated. I have also met my a couple of the family dogs we had. I am interested in discussing both realms. A program we watched earlier is about a number of people who share the same dream space ! Falling Waters is the show, or something like that.

I have seen what we refer to as UFOs both in my waking and sleeping(dream realm) states. I saw my first UFO at 11 years of age, and another three four years later(witnessed with a friend). I have also seen alien space craft in my sleeping state, this has happened twice, well these are what I remember !

Dream 1: Spacecraft was on the ground, it was shaped like a rugby ball, oval. It had a three legged landing gear. I was trying to remain hidden because people were being abducted - even though I didn't witness any abductions, it was a feeling I had. Nothing else can be remembered. I have a theory that I am being monitored by either by people involved with MILABS, or by off planet beings. Neither of which I can prove ! I was in the military in the late 70's early 80's, and my father served in WW2, and my elder brother is also ex military. So there is a military background which I can't really glean any information as of now, however I am still open to investigating further.

Dream 2: I remember being taken, but cannot say for sure by whom, I can say that the place I was taken to was almost certainly military. So I put this down as a MILAB. I have clear memory of being on an operating table with my legs in stirrups, I was surrounded by men in white hospital gowns, in between my legs was a slim computer which blocked my view of who was operating on me. This is all I remember.

Dream #2 happened a few years ago, say 3-5 years. The operation scenario has given rise to suspicion about a medical procedure I underwent in 2004 when my large bowel was removed due to cancer, it was caught in time and hadn't spread further. I discovered in late 2003 that I had a genetic illness as well as bowel cancer, but neither of my parents had this genetic condition. Neither of my brothers had this nor my children of which I am thankful as it is a condition which puts me in the at risk group of developing more cancers, so far I've had cancer a further two times ! I am currently awaiting a date for another operation which may reveal another cancer. My father left his physical vehicle in 2001, he had lung, prostate and sking cancer all at the same time. I am thinking that the consciousness who played the role of my father shares a karmic thread connected to cancer and also other illnesses.

I am toying with the idea of being regressed.

I will add more latter.

Blessings to you all.

Prayers for you full health. Aameen.

Many thanks Dawud. I appreciate your prayers. I hope to be contacted this week coming about my operation date.

This morning's dreams cannot be recalled ! I tried but failed ! I will try and do a short daily meditation before going to sleep. I have a question:

Q: (Hypothetically) I appear in my wife's dream and she appears in my dream at the same time. Is the 'me' who appears in my wife's dream created by her subconscious, or is it one my many 'I's' who has stepped into her dreamworld - and vice versa ? There are people who believe we have multiple selves, and maybe this is how we appear in other peoples dreams.

Speaking about multiple selves, does this mean there are multiple levels ? I am of the opinion that there are many selves and many levels, a friend of mine is a schizophrenic and he 'travels' to some far out places. He meets wizards and is afraid of his younger brother telling me his brother is a black wizard. Is this black wizard another example of multiple levels/selves. The places my schizophrenic friend goes to are interesting, he mainly is involved with psychics, wizards and warlords.

So please do join in and share your dreams and the characters you meet.

Blessings to you all.

Interesting questions, like most people I tend to work on the assumption that dreams are all merely internal ramblings of your brain, without any higher connection or meaning

But that leaves some dreams extremely difficult to explain.

when younger on vacation, I had a mundane but very vivid dream about looking around a local store, not a chain a very distinct little general store in a town we had arrived at late the night before

When I awoke my father was just coming back, I asked him where he had been, when he said shopping at a little store, I rushed out to see it, and of course it turned out to be utterly identical, unmistakably the place I had just vividly seen.

If I heard someone else tell this, I'd probably assume they were exaggerating for effect. But I think it's often the opposite. Extraordinary experiences like these do not fit into our daily rational lives, so we tend to just brush them aside as curious coincidences. That's so much simpler and easier to do than ponder the implications of something so improbable.

Guy, I am of the opinion that the brain is something more magical than we can ever understand/comprehend. The brain is similar to the keyboard of a computer and is directed by what I shall call consciousness, but others may call it soul or spirit or just energy. We are not the body nor the mind - we have a body with all its components for the brief time we are here playing the Game of Life. Its akin to playing Monopoly, where you need a token to play the game - our physical body is our token.

More later.

I think most dreams are internal ramblings but I agree not all are. I think in the dream state you are more susceptible to experiencing spirits and the psychic as the normal conscious mind is put aside. Yes, it's an interesting universe:)

Yes, and I think with the computer and internet analogy- many concepts once considered inherently supernatural 100 years ago, have been soundly proven in principle by us mere mortals. Invisible, instantaneous and simultaneous communication among millions of people separated by wide distances, where the hardware is just a vessel to tap into it. And the physics of the universe is specific to this being possible- by coincidence?. It's really only logical, that life would have access to something similar.

I think there are many types of dreams, all quite distinct from one another.
Some of the dreams I have had seem even more substantial than this world.
The people and beings that I meet, seem so enlightened, often more so than any people.
So I see no reason to think them any less real than the local Earthly people.
Some dreams are certainly less real, however, some are obviously just wish fulfillment,
but these dreams have 'fuzzy edges' - they lack proper physics or logical consistency.

Its like some TV programs are made-up - but some are real.
If a person had only seen children's cartoons on TV, they would conclude that TV
was not real, and of no consequence.

What you need to try and do is stay conscious at the point when you fall asleep...!

When i have a dream in which i wake up i always find myself where i felt asleep. In the bed or on the couch. I am conscious. I able to think and act. All other dreams are a.) in another place and b.) have lesser consciousness in letting me know its a dream.

So, well, the **** is that it always begins with a panic when i realize i am awake but the body is asleep. The panic is frightening and can result into pure fear. ... A fear which can wake me up or reseting the dream. Reset means that i think that i woke up for real but i havnt. Normally when i wake up for real i can hear my heart pumping dry as if i had a shock or adrenalin alike. Then i know that i am not dreaming. So sometimes I think "oh no, not again." and raise the panic level to kick myself out of the dream.

I guess its an memorized version in my subconscious brain of the place i felt asleep. In another dream I tried to scream as louid as i could but all i can hear to my ears was far very soft moan which was my scream. Waking up in dreams always create a fear of dying in me. My emotion to have trust (speaking hearts) can keep me in there that i do not to get panic and use courage to get further in the dream.

When i lay my head on the bed next night, suddently i remember the images of this dream. Strange how the brain functions and release emotions to let us understand who we truely are.

Strange you should write that Jonathon because its exactly what I'm trying to do and keep on failing ! I like your attitude towards the realm of dreams, sadly even when I remember a dream its so mundane it would make watching paint dry exciting !
I will add your idea of different categories of dreams into my current project, so thanks for that - if that is OK with you Jonathon.

In my teens I had a recurring aand very real feeling nightmare where I would be running through what felt like a gold course, I was running through the woodland area of the forest. Although I never saw the person chasing after me ! I knew there was someone after me and they had a knife ! I would wake up before I was caught, in fact I may well have forced myself awake which I have done in several menacing dreams. I did have some nice dreams, such as the flying through clouds dream - I loved that one. And I enjoyed the ocassional erotic dream, but that's not for speaking of here !

Aiviu, thank you for sharing your dream experiences. I have never had a dream where I've seemingly woke up but am still in the dream. My wife has and she says some are scary. She has vivid dreams involving vampires ! I think my dreams are either being tampered with, and even wiped from my memory. I have not had this problem before.

I shall post more later. I would like to share two dreams that I still remember as vivid as the night I dreamt them.

Blessings to you all.

Further question: Have you dreamt of your departed loved ones ? Includes pets.

Yes, and it was like ...
I felt asleep on the couch but my mind continued to think about something i thought before i felt asleep. Suddently i heard a voice talking to me in a unfamiliar language. I could not understand but i remembered that there is a mentioned ability to translate this with using the heart. So i went to sense trust to understand it but the voice just disappeared. Well, at least i was able to stand up. I finally noticed i am in a dream. This certain kind of mood or special kinda feel it has to it. The trust i recieved reached into recieving love. It reached a limit which i can't contain it that i thought "No no, i dont want to die! Not yet!" I stopped to recieve this emotion. So I observed the room as much as i was able to. I noticed some shadows (people) in my house but i saw no danger or importance in them. And beside that i still was busy to walk straight and to have an unblurred vision of the surrounding. Then I noticed that the front door was open and i felt panic again. I walked from the living room to the door. (I should mention the ground floor in my house is just one big room.)

I suppressed the panic which made me feel as if i have goosebumps out of fear and i walked straight to the door and saw a girl standing on the pavement. I freezed for a second. Then I looked aside me and noticed a shadow who stood direct to me. I tried to talk with him and asked "Is this her?", and again, "Is this her?". And i noticed how i get into panic. I knew, if i overdo it, i would be pulled out of the dream or reset the dream. So i calmed down. I put myself to silence, bow my head and heartfully pleased like in a slow whisper to this shadow "Is it her?". The shadow seems to nod his head.

I run over the the small veranda, down the steps, to the pavement where she was standing. I just hugged her because something in me still misses her so very much. There truely is a wish to be filled in seeing her again. Then she gave me a short kiss and her lips tasted like lipstick. A taste of lipstick!? It felt this was somehow strange. So i step back to see her eyes. Althought i can not remember how the girl from the past looked like, i knew she didnt looked like the girl right here. I still have an aura or type of appearance but this is not the same. "But i also could be wrong!", i thought. So i just hugged her again, and did not thought twice it isnt her. I trusted. Then she stopped it, leant back, took my hand, and said :"You have to put your hand over to cover it, then you can lift it and then there we see us again." In my mind i thought "What? Can i remember the latter part of the line when i will wake up? I always forget the latter part!" So i got panic again over my famous forgetfulness. I drift to lose my conscious and it pulled me back to the body on the couch. I thought, "No, not yet!", and tried to controll the dream and stopped it for once. I was in the house again but a new room was added to it.

The room was a sleeping room where she was laying on the bed and some clinical stuff was around her. Under tears she said to me "Please protect me from whats outside! Please!". I thought, "What?! Outside?". She replied "Yes that, whats coming from the outside of the house!" ... I thought a short second. I said to her "But I cant save you from death. You said i cant do that. Cant you remember when you said that to me?" ... she got crying and scolded with a doctor or a nurse to her side. I felt i was just watching a scene of the past i never took part in. Then she got angry, "Help me! You put me here! Please help me!".

Thats the end. I woke up, My heart was beating fast. I suppose these dreams are refractions out of my subconsciousness in correlation to my actual state of emotions, body and mind. And yes, the story that there was a girl who was going to die was real. Back then when we talk together, she said that there is a heaven, a place i can't go with her together, where a man named God resides. I did not even knew what she meant by heaven. I just looked to the sky and thought "There?". In my language heaven and sky is the same word. I imagined a plateau on a cloud and asked her ... "Could you wait for me?". She said that she isnt sure if she can but she would try it for me. She was two years younger than me.

In real life i do not put to much meaning to my dreams because life is a practical world, right? So, if there is a heaven to reach i am sure it only can be reached by being alive and truely to any other i am still able to know.

P.S. Sorry for the wall of text.

All humans dream, and it seems to me animals as well, dream, so dream is part of our being.

Since many dreams are related to current events, work, family, pets, one's "religion" and so on, I do not think they are just random "pulses" of a brain touching unrelated points of remembrance, rather they are calculated, "working things out", communications - for some advanced, even communication methods with others or beings - and they are your attempts at solving things, building with others or even engaging in wars, can range in emotions that are related to actual situations or "practicing" for a future predictable situation or predictive warnings as to likely outcomes.

For example, today there is a big political debate on television in which millions of Americans will be watching, and I would bet each candidate even dreamed themselves in the debate last night and their responses and "saw into the future" and "were working things out" in their dreams, though Hillary might have been zombied on meds, Trump does not drink alcohol or coffee so he will not be effected by zombie mode. I just woke up now and read this post, but before I woke up I solved a computer programming idea in my sleep, and also dreamed of the debate and dreamed Hillary let out 3 coughs (cough-cough-cough) and then Donald Trump pulled a cough drop out of his upper shirt pocket and offerred it to Hillary who rejected the cough drop with a smug rage and contempt in her face and it went down as the most historical event in US debate history that won the election for Trump simply due to the comedic relief. I am not saying this will happen in the debate, I think however it is a prediction of a Trump victory and I think many also dreamed last night of the debate.

Dreams are something, indeed. There is a truth to the method of dream analysis. Reoccuring dreams, no matter how silly, likely have an important message or vortex in your life. One of my repeating dreams I call "the Buddhas Garden" where I am in a beautiful almost Japanese tea garden like landscape that is also a rather easy solvable labyrinth, I am walking through it and there are fountains and statues, resting places and shaded benches and it is a sunny day but cool, wonderful trees and birds and eventually I come upon a beautiful statue of the Buddha.

In some versions I purchase the most delicious drink, like a crushed ice drink or icee, blue colored with a raspberry like taste, which is very refreshing. Even tastes appear in my dreams, and they are full color and magical.

To me, it seems to predict that for the most part, I am trouble free and always will be. I also dream of the Gods.

It could be that others also communicate with you via dreams - in fact, obviously this does happen. And "paranormal" is one of the good ways to describe this. ABOVE "normal". Dreams are documented in many religions, documented as a dream and only documented in the sense that the dream was important or predictive. Some of these dreams, take the example of the dream of the Buddha's mother, will be retold for millions of years if not forever in the course of human existence.
