But I don't think that happens in a normally harmful potential like the way alcohol does. That also applies to social matters. Drink a bottle of alcohol and drive, and compare that to eat or drink tons and tons of anything else and drive. I think the former does wonders with the US police

The topic was about it causing cancer not mental impairment ....

Yes, I did hear that alcohol is a potential cause of cancer too.
Is that a demonic ritual check list? I see cannabis and magic.
And that's why I asked for the Muslim reasons behind forbidding alcohol.

Well sure u dont need to count the car accidents blamed on alcohol( not all accidents are caused by alcohol though).Sometimes agression by alcohol. Cheating by alcohol etc
You are spot on Mojtaba. If alcohol and gambling suddenly vanished from the earth , the world would improve greatly. No more drunk drivers. No more people spending their last dime on gambling while their children are hungry.

This is how I look it. Lets say Depression and anxiety is a tree and intoxication (alcohol) is water; the more you water it the more it grows. In order to kill the tree they say there is 3 ways of doing it.
1. Social support.
2. Exercise.
3. Wisdom

I'm certainly not going to change my habits from one report that may not even be repeated with the pile of evidence showing alcohol in moderation is beneficial to our health. And nearly every "Blue Zone" includes moderate drinking.
I'd add faith when it comes to religious people. Those with stronger faith are less prone to fall victims to alcoholism, in my beliefs.
