The Nature of Ghosts

When people have 'supernatural experiences' but do not believe this to be the actions of a dead persons soul, what other explanations are there?
It is hard to explain or comprehend these realms, that we tends to not to discuss them with others or they might think less of them. But here's a video of some sightings but it is up to the watcher of these clips to believe them or not.

I never understood why all these supposedly valid videos or photos, ghosts appear so scary.

From my few personal experiences and from others that had similar experiences and I had the chance to talk with, ghosts were never scary or freaky. Right the opposite, actually.

I think this is a classic “fear of the unknown” thing.

I think what it is, is that there are a variety of actually different types of phenomena for which many in society use the word 'ghost'. I think there are both real positive and real negative phenomena getting thrown into one bucket with one label.

Sorry It took me a year to respond to your question but I'm kind of new here so that is the best excuse I can come up with for now ha-ha, anyway in regards to your question there are many explanations I can come up with to provide a possible explanation for your supernatural experience and hope what I have to offer helps!

(1) The first possible explanation is that perhaps when a supernatural experience happens it is not an actual entity but more accurately a left over energy of a tragic event that happened to a person when they were alive. These ghostly apparitions are not actual conscious entities, but are more like a negative imprint that are saved, kind of the same way when a picture is taken with a camera. One way you can identify if this is an actual entity or left over energy is by observing what the ghostly apparition is doing. This negative energy is very common in murder or tragic death instances where a person suddenly or violently died in some fashion and as you observe them, if they keep repeating what has happened to them in a continuous loop, then they are probably a left over imprint of a person, place or event, and not an actual entity. If you are unable to have interaction with them through your six sense then it probably is a negative energy source imprint on the environment of what happened to an individual and not an actual ghost.

(2) If you have experience with Astral Realm Travel you can physically be on our planet, but your spiritual body may travel to the Astral Realm. In this setting as long as your spiritual body is separated from your physical body you may experience many strange and bewildering supernatural phenomenon that most people are not familiar with. In the Astral Realm there are all kinds of things besides dearly departed Human souls that occupy this realm. There are non Human entities that seem to reside there, and spiritual energy from all the life forces on our planet from microbe bacteria to plants, animals, and of course people as well, and they all seem to occupy this realm but may not behave as they normally would in our physical world since the Laws Of Physics and space/time does not seem to be present in this realm, so they can come into and out of existence and seem very strange and supernatural to a person not used to being in such a wonderful and strange place. I have many years of experience with this phenomenon but sadly I can not provide proof of it's existence, I can only give you an account of what I have observed and have faith to be true. I suppose even in my practice, I have to rely on my Faith that what I am experiencing is true.

(3) If you have the ability to open a portal to the supernatural world, through meditation, High ceremonial magic, chants etc. you can in effect go through space/time dimensions and this is a very supernatural experience to engage in. This branch of my personal Witchcraft stems from a Quantum Mechanic principle and is extremely difficult to explain if you are not familiar with the quirky nature of sub atomic particles in a Quantum containment field. In this setting the Illusion of reality that we experience in our everyday life is not conducive to the realities of a quantum or supernatural world that is around us. In a containment field, time is not a linear progression, it is a point of singularity where all time merges into one existence. When you are in this state of being, you can travel through Space/Time Dimension and come into and out of existence as well as simultaneously being everywhere and nowhere at the same time. This state of altered consciousness is a very supernatural experience to engage in and is separate from the norms of a ghostly encounter.

(4) There is a process known as an Astral attack where an individual can send Astral thought waves usually when you are sleeping or abbreviated to cause you to hallucinate a scary event or a seemingly ghost attack. This is a very unethical thing for a person to do but I have seen it happen before, and this is another form of supernatural event that can be explained without a Ghostly presence.

(5) When some people think of poltergeist activity it may not come from a ghost source at all, but might come from a person's own subconscious telekinetic abilities. When I am upset or in a highly emotional state of being it is not uncommon for a light bulb to explode when I turn it own or a cup, or some other object to fall unexpectedly to the ground. These occurrences maybe mistaken for ghostly activity too when in reality it might be coming from your own self.

Well these are the top 5 supernatural things I can think of to explain supernatural phenomenon that can happen without a ghostly presence. I hope what I shared is helpful, the only thing I would like to add is also consider the obvious natural explanations that can happen as well, such as perhaps that cup that fell over was just placed in a hap hazard way that naturally would fall off the counter anyway or a loud banging sound could come from plumbing, an AC unit, or the house settling etc. Also take into account your mental state of mind as the supernatural event folds around you. Did you just wake up and not fully conscious? Are you having a bad reaction to a new prescription medication you were just prescribed? Are you fully sober or abbreviated when the event occurred? These are all factors you should also consider when a possible supernatural event occurred. I can explain a cup falling down to the floor but when a phone flew across the room one night at my home and smashed on the wall when I was by myself, well I have to think a supernatural occurrence happened ha-ha! take care!

Hi @ShadowFire, thank you for responding and a belated welcome to RF. There is no need to apologize, I actually like it when posts continue an active life. Being recent does not increase relevance.

I have no argument with any of the possibilities that you mention. I do believe in 'ghosts' and I do believe that there is more than one type/cause. Your first category interests me greatly. Not all such sightings are connected to tragedies but they show this repetitive film like tendency. I therefore feel that "tragedy" may be a catalyst rather than a cause of such phenomena.

While some ghosts are likely souls trapped in the wall between the material and spiritual worlds, others are simply bodies of stray energy that have somehow made it into the material world. There are often reports of glowing orbs of energy moving through forests, houses, and various buildings. These places are usually very desolate and secluded, there isn't much material activity, making room for the spiritual to enter. I think most of these ghosts are not sentient beings, they are simply bodies of energy that cross over into this world occasionally.

I don't think they are intentionally harmful, but they probably can inadvertently affect people negatively.
