Me? Or my parents? My mother was raised non-religious, father was nominal Christian as a child. Atheists/agnostics the lot of us now.
Brief family history of Kirran:
Mother's father - irreligious by the time he had children, although I think raised Christian originally
Mother's mother - same story, basically. I discovered recently her father was a Unitarian minister in his earlier years (before getting so into politics)
Mother - never been religious, opposes the ideas of religion and worship
Father's father - raised by a Seventh Day Adventist single mother, himself never had time for religion - agnostic, I suppose
Father's mother - Christian, mostly Baptist but was involved in Quakerism and Anglicanism at different times
Father - Christian as a child, became atheist during teens
Kirran - atheist, vaguely agnostic as a child, strong atheist in teens, shifted off that into nondualistic Hinduism.
We've been jumping all over the place.

Ugh...that old chestnut. That's what I figured you meant but I was hoping not.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with seeking, or trying different religions, or whatever else. But my interest in religion is much more...meh...academic, I guess you would call it. I'm a psych major and a history buff. Religion interests me on both grounds, quite apart from the impact of it in a modern-day context.
I first came here to learn more about Deism vs Theism, and stuck around for the parties and hot chicks.
I was raised Christian, though my family almost never went to church. When the Disney cartoon Hercules came out when I was very little, I believed in the Greek gods for a short time, but I don't know if that counts.
When I was about 11, I became a Deist because I started reading bits of the bible and it did not seem divinely inspired at all, but I still thought there had to be some kind of entity that created the universe.
At 14, I became an atheist because I couldn't find any reason to think that the world had any purpose in humanity or the laws of physics.
A few years after that, I discovered The Satanic Bible and needed to take some time to figure out what aspects of it were core to Satanism and what aspects were the author's opinions or just common Satanic opinions. Once I more or less answered that question for myself, I have considered myself a Satanist, though I only wear the title when it's convenient.
So today I consider myself an atheistic Satanist, but in most social situations I don't mention the Satanist part... though, in some I don't mention the atheist part.
