How does Gnostic 'practice' look like??

Hey,

been wondering how Gnostic practice looks like?

Honestly I've been searching the Internet on information about Luciferianism, Gnosticism, etc. and the sites I found always talk about what Gnosis is, but how do you actually achieve it??

What are you supposed to do? Is it really meditation?

Thank you

There are examples of Gnostic chant -- vowel chant -- in Gnostic texts such as the Gospel of the Egyptians in the Nag Hammadi Library: http://www.gnosis.org/naghamm/goseqypt.html There are certain Hebrew names that appear in Sethian Gnostic writings used as mantras, and that correspond to certain heavens. A bit like Kabbalah. Gnostic meditation was very visionary and pertained to the ascension of the soul though various heavenly regions. This book, The Gnostic Mystery, provides a great introduction to the spiritual goals of Gnostics: http://andrea65.tripod.com/gnostictitle.html

I think so too now, I always thought it was the same as Buddhist meditation first, but I think it's more reflecting, contemplating, reading and praying :), correct me if I'm wrong

Gnosis.org is one of the great Gnostic websites and libraries of Gnostic writings online since the early days of the web, associated with Stephan Hoeller of Ecclesia Gnostica. The Gnostic Mystery by Professor Andrea Diem-Lane is a nice resource on the goals of Gnostic spirituality -- what were these people up to when they were reading or copying texts. Unlike the typical books about the Gnostics taking us on an archaeological dig for Gnostic books of the dead and what orthodoxy wrote against them, she delves into the spiritual practice a bit. Like myself, she's been part of a LIVING Gnostic path where there is an initiation into the Mysteries and meditation practice, the gnosis within.
