Go is a Chinese board game.
Pandas are cute animals.

Everything would be black and white? :)
The board is yellowish brown though...

But wouldn't the thread be of more general interest if it were about "What If God Were A Panda?" instead of Go (the game)?

I think you could do it with a large enough board. What is the smallest Go board that could represent a panda bear?

If God was a panda, then Cuteness would become one of God's holy attributes. There would soon be a schism about whether God was a Giant Panda, or a Red Panda.

And given that Red Pandas are infinitely cuter, then surely God would be a Red Panda, contrary to what you Giant Pandaist heretics would claim.

Never could get into Go, I prefer smaller boards
Igowin is a free 9x9 version to play...Even on Go servers people play 9x9. ;)

When i was kid playing, we segmented a big board so could play 9x9, otherwise it is to much to begin.

Doesn't anyone on here know Go enough to get my joke? o_O

Here's a question: If the go board was never complete but always expanded when an edge was reached would there still be a sense of winning?

Yes, as every skirmish in Go shows clearly who is Dan, and who has bad form. Even from the first moves, a master can see how the game will unfold; so scale doesn't make any difference. ;)

Interesting -- did not know that. So you're a Go master?

No where near, I've played since young, read loads of deep books on its principles; yet you play some people who are near the rank of Dan, and their strategic inteligence is mind blowing....It's sort of like fighting Yoda, and you just don't see it coming. ;)
