Who Is the best Superhero (American Animation)?

If we're going purely from their animated adaptation examples, Batman: The Animated Series is the best, without question. It's beautiful, serious, and captures the spirit of Batman in a way that no other example in any medium, save perhaps the Arkham games, have. It also has Batman as Batman. You may know him better as "Kevin Conroy", but that is purely an alias. He is Batman.

No question about it.....
th

My favorite episode....

Jack is the best because he is merely human, albeit highly skilled & athletic.
- He always does the right thing.
- He is intelligent.
- He is adaptable.
- He has a style best described as shibumi.
- His foes are interesting & formidable.
- He has 2 clear goals.....get back to his time.....defeat Aku.

I had an image of Thor trying to strike you down for doing that and then Zeus stopped him.

Nah, Thor is pretty chill. Besides, in the comics even though Herc and Thor got off to a really bad start they became good friends.

If you liked the Arkham series you should watch Assault on Arkham, its the superior Suicide Squad Film.

You, sir, have exemplar taste and if stuff based off comics were not eligible, Samurai Jack would win hands down.

Their comic-book friendship strikes me as being exactly what their mythological selves would be like. Two people who really love fighting & drinking.

Yes, and the real Hercules (Herakles in Greek) is also very protective, fond of games and playing with kids. He's actually a big kid himself.

I've always liked Batman, starting with the animated series.

I also liked the version of Hawkgirl in the animated Justice League tv show from a while back.

This guy. Aside from the fact that he could beat up a small continent, he's kind of the John Wayne of superheros: doesn't take **** off of anybody and couldn't care less if everybody thinks he's a ****.

Used to watch that when I was a kid. That's the one where he gets his strength from his ring and has a centaur side-kick, right?

Yes, and he'd use his belt buckle for added power. The centaur was Newt. He had a high pitched voice and said everything twice, like "Hi Herc, hi Herc, I'm Newt, I'm Newt".
