Yes it is, but it is even more popular in Eastern Europe, especially in Russia.
And in my corner of Paradise in far western Canada, eh. :) And yes, they are huge in Russia.

Are they still popular with the young people or is it more their parents and up?

That is pretty much as I expected. They are getting a bit old now, LOL.
Unfortunately I think that rock as a whole fell out of favor with the youth. Nowadays it's just insipid and inane pop and hiphop garbage that's popular with kids.
I personally know no popular young rock band, but for gods sake i've got internet and don't have to listen to the music my friends like. I don't understand how somebody can listen to JUSTIN BIEBER!

I didn't realize that Justin Bieber qualified as music. :)

Hi, i'm 13 years old and come from germany. If you want to know something about my conutry and the people in germany, do it. I may be young, but very smart.

Hi Selina,

- Do the autobahns in Germany still have no speed limit? Or have they changed that recently?
- Are the police pretty strict?
- I've known a few Germans who lived in America. One of them had joined the US Army, and he told me that Germans had become so accustomed to and friendly with the US Army that Germans had "adopted" them and considered them to be "their" Army, too (more or less). But this was over 20 years ago; does this perception still hold in Germany? How is America generally viewed over there nowadays?
- Related to the above question, I've noticed that Germans and Americans seem to mesh together rather well. As you probably know, a great many Americans have German ancestry, many of whom still have a strong affinity for Germany and still feel a kind of ancestral/familial bond.

The Autobahn has speed limits on dangeros places, but normally there is no speed limit. But maybe it will come, it is beeing discussed.
The police is quite friendly here.
I know from my grandparents that they were quite happy to have the US Army in the country to protect us from the USSR and they gave them American food and things like that after the war. But today it has changed. It depends on who you ask, but most of the people think, there is no longer a reason why we should have US soldiers here in Germany. During the Bush administration even the right-wingrrs had problems with America, but since you voted for Obama we stsrted to like you agsin. My parents told me they had a party when he was elected, i was to youngbto remember. But they are disappointed of Obama.eWe still think the US jas imperialistic goals and there is a great fear you will undertermine our environmental and quality standards with TTIP, especially we fear yoou want to force us to buy GMO food. And we were quite upset for spying us, but in fact, we knew it long before Snowden. But many Germams still love America and want to study there for example or go there on vacation. Maybe you know the family Reimann who had a very popular TV show here about how they left Germany to start again in the US.

Do all German people speak German over there?

And by the way, and further to your asking to advise you in English in your other thread; the word "reply" is used with with "to", so you say "I replied to your question". Or you can say "I answered your question" which is the more correct one since questions are there to be answered. "Reply" is usually used with emails, SMS's and letters.

Thank you for the correction.:). No, we have many accents here that are allmost different languages. I can't understand Plattdeutsch for example. Plus, we have people of different other nations who are living here for decades and still don't speak German properly. Thats especially a problem with turkish women who are not allowed to leave their house with teir husbands permission and are not able to get help when they are abused.
